A: There is no battery, it does use WIFI and the only wire is for power.
A: No, it only works in the Google Home app. I also use the Nest app and can’t get the new camera integrated. So unfortunate!
A: I own it, it's about 10 feet.
Q: Can the nest indoor plug in camera be used to see through a window?
A: Yes, that is how I have mines for years with no problem. The only issue is that you cannot use the night vision because of the reflection of the night vision light.
Q: Is this a wired outdoor camera?
A: This is for indoor. In the specification does not mention anything about being water resistant.
A: We plan on doing the same thing. As far as I can tell as long as the display is on it will show a live feed.
Q: does it record continuously if I get subscription (not only when detecting action but all time)
A: only when you pay 120 dollars a year for the max subscription. otherwise it's ONLY event based. (as of now, oct 2021)
A: Nest camera has more features and ability to cut specific portion of recorded video via web interface. New Google cam use application only and very limited.
