SO. MUCH. POTENTIAL!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the best hardware Google has made! Likewise, it is still very much so a Google device. That means your phone will iteratively get better. While that is a good thing it can mean that you will have some pain points if you buy this phone in the first few months after its release. Overall, it is a very smooth, premium Android device that is priced below other comparable phones. If you are someone that is patient enough to let Google work out the issues (listed in the Cons section below) then you are getting one of the best phones to be released this year. Pros: - Great hardware design - Gorgeous screen - Super smooth and fast UI - Amazing rear cameras - No duplicate apps (i.e. 2 web browsers) - More custom settings available that previously could only be accessed from - Much cleaner and uniform looking widgets - The call screening feature is very convenient, and sometimes entertaining. Cons: - Front facing camera was extremely grainy in lowlight settings and created pictures that looked cartoonish at best and downright awful at the worst. - The phone would get very hot when using 5G. One time led to me needing to restart it to cool it down. Another time the camera app displayed a message that the flash was disabled because the phone was too hot. - Random software errors in a few different apps would freeze the phone until it restarted itself. (No, it would not let me hard reset it) - UI needs some polish (i.e. PiP works when swiping from the app playing the video or Maps but not if you side swipe from the app playing the video to another app without going home) - Videos can come out jittery sometimes - Fingerprint scanner was often times frustratingly slow - So so battery life

Good camera, bad phone
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'll lead off by saying that this phone exceled at everything except being a phone. Exceptional camera, battery life was good, responsive, good screen, etc. While on wifi, this phone was great. While on mobile network, this phone couldn't hold service. I tried 5G, forcing 4G. Nothing helped. Phone showed having at least half full bars in the service indicator but when I tried to open apps, they wouldn't open. Tested over a variety of apps. While connected to mobile data I would run a speed test and speeds would fluctuate between what would be expected, then down to <5 mbps. Updates did nothing to help. This was a hardware issue. Traded in for a P7P after dealing with this awful phone for one week. Good thing I managed to snag it for $400 for the day or two that Best Buy put it on sale.

The Upgrade You Been Waiting For.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been a Pixel fan since day one. I owned all the phones except for the Pixel 5 series. I skipped that one because I felt it was a downgrade compared to my pixel 4. Which brings me to today and my Pixel 6 Pro. I absolutely love this phone. Prior to my purchase I was worried that the Pixel 6 Pro was too big, or the camera bump would stick out too much and whether I would miss being able to squeeze the phone to summon the google assistant. After using this phone for a few days all those worries went away and it was clear that this was the upgrade I was waiting for. Everything about this phone is awesome. The display is gorgeous. The processor is super-fast. The cameras are excellent. Bluetooth connects flawlessly, and the size and weight are perfect. It is slightly larger than my pixel 4 and it feels like it weighs about the same weight. Instead of squeezing the phone to summon my assistant now I just have to long press the power button. As for the camera bump, it pretty much disappeared when I put the phone in a case. Then there is my favorite feature of the phone, the battery. All I can say is wow! It easily gets me a full day of use. Almost double of what I got with my pixel 4. So, If you are like me and are still hanging on to your pixel 4, you can rest easy. The Pixel 6 Pro is the upgrade you've been waiting for. I highly recommend buying it.

Finally, a Google Flagship
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In some ways, this is a massive upgrade from my OnePlus 7 Pro. In other ways, it's not so much. 1) Camera: This is the biggest asset of this phone. The back camera, and especially the telephoto lens, have completely changed the way I take pictures. I can whip this phone out, point and press the button, and it'll spit out an awesome photo 99% of the time. Magic Eraser is magical, too. The front camera leaves a little bit to be desired though, even compared to my girlfriend's old Pixel 3. I suspect this is because there's no autofocus on the selfie cam of the 6 Pro, but there is on the 3. For anyone that uses Snapchat, this phone performs better than any other Android phone on the market. 2) Screen: This is the reason I sprung for the Pro model. 120hz and 1440p are worth the extra cash compared to the 90hz and 1080p screen on the regular Pixel 6 for me. I've had no issues so far, and the centered hole punch camera is way better than a hole in the corner imo. Adaptive brightness is kinda wonky right now, but that should be addressed by an update soon. 3) Battery: This is where I see the least improvement from my old phone. This phone was marketed as having a 30W fast charging speed, but even with Google's 30W charger, it maxes out at 23W. Adaptive charging works pretty well so it's not a huge L, but I wish Google would allow us to choose between the slower speed + longer battery longevity and faster speeds + a little more battery degradation. Despite my fast charging gripes, the battery life has been excellent so far.

Awesome Phone, Minor Complaints
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Pixel 6 Pro is a great phone so far. I have had no issues with fingerprint ID, charging system, or connnecting with other devices. However, documentation related to operating kinda sucks. "Help" inquiries are redirected a site that more closely resembles a reply to a search engine inquiry rather than simply explaining the ins-and-outs of how particular feature works, you get faced with a bunch of questions to your question, and frequently none are relevant. I also don't like the swipe feature. It often acts on it's own if you aren't careful with the way you hold it. But I simply changed to the old style Recent-Home-Back buttons and that works great. Camera is awesome but lacks a robust set of manual settings instead letting the software control everything. Android 12 so-far-so good but with a bit of a learning curve. Overall, I love it.

Great product, poor best buy service
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The product is as I read. I was able to use it translate whole documents from another language instantaneously for my work, and I love the pure android experience. The phone does heat up when charging. Overall very good phone experience, loud speakers, great pictures, magic eraser is very amusing to use. I preordered on 10/23/21 in store and was told best buy was honoring the pixel buds preorder deal from google. The best buy associate ran up the purchase wrong, and when they couldn't go back I was told by 3 separate people, they would make sure I received my 2 buds with my order. I had tried to get written confirmation from customer service and their manager promised the buds verbally. I picked up the order on 10/28 and no buds and was denied them.

It's a great phone with great pictures!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I liked my old Pixel, so purchased this newer one. Has the same great features, but they added a very aggravating new thing. They have a microphone that pops up and starts typing in a box you are going to text in. It picks up conversations or TV and types it. Then you have to delete everything. When you tell it to stop Listening, then it stops, and a big blue spot shows on your screen. Then the little microphone is sitting in the corner over your time. I tried to move it, but it won't budge.

Best phone on the market
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Has its fair share of issues but I'd still say it's better than putting up with Apple, OnePlus, or even Samsung. I wish it charged faster, and the battery life is enough to get you through a day, but not a second day. That being said, I use 120Hz all the time and have it on higher brightness settings. I'll admit I wasn't a fan of the physical design at first, but it's grown on me. I also appreciate how Google did something different than the industry trend (putting the cameras in the top corner with individual circles) Speaking of cameras, if there's one reason to buy this phone, that's it! This is probably the best phone camera I've ever had, hands down.
