Best Guy Richie film since Snatch. Great acting, story and message. Great looking disc and soundtrack. Demo worthy bluray even though its not 4K.

More than a film about war, Jake Gyllenhaal as Sargent Kinley and Dar Salim as Ahmed do a great job of making you care about them and their commitment to each other. While not based on a true story, it does use the collective stories of soldiers and their interpreters in Afghanistan and is compelling to watch.

Great movie!! Saw the trailer and had to have this. Great storyline, gave perspective what US Army personnel and Afghan translators dealt with while working together in dangerous Afghanistan for the 20 years US were there. Good acting by Jake Gyllenhaal and Dar Salim and Guy Ritchie did awesome piecing together this movie. A must have for anyone regardless if you like war movies or not.

Great movie, very moving. What an amazing story about loyalty and honoring your commitment! Although some scenes were very graphic and intense, it is a movie that takes place during a war, so it was to be expected. Makes you appreciate your freedom and the sacrifices our armed forces make. Overall, I would recommend it to others.

I would recommend this movie for an abundance of reasons. I think the acting was top notch. The story was solid and as far as I'm concerned it never lost my interest. I found the amount of "red tape" encountered trying to do the "right thing" in getting the "interpreter" out of Afghanistan was sheer madness! Well worth the purchase.

An unspoken covenant between two men leads to life threatening situations in this story centering on a unexpected friendship between courageous and determined men during the twenty year Afghan war. The movie based on real people proves men and women of honor can exist during times of turmoil .

This was an amazing movie that I remember came out at the theater but quickly forgot about. What a mistake, I can't believe I waited this long to see this. What a different take on a war movie.
