Widower and aging Brooklyn hipster Frank (Nick Offerman) starts a band with his teenage daughter Sam (Kiersey Clemons) just before she leaves home to attend college in California. When a song of theirs finds success online, it complicates Frank’s attempts to let go of his dreams of stardom and allow his daughter to find her own path in life. Ted Danson, Sasha Lane, Blythe Danner, and Toni Collette co-star. Directed by Brett Haley.~Jack Rodgers
I love a good "music" driven story! Nick Offerman is delightful and hunky, Kiersey CLEMONS is gonna be a BIG STAR! and the rest of the cast Toni Colette, Ted Danson, and Blythe Danner (her part could have been larger!) rounded it all out to perfection, it will make you laugh and it will make you cry, but mostly, it will make you feel HAPPY!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.

Very good story, great acting, wholesome movie about a teenager torn between college and being in a band with her father. He is just as torn about losing her.
