A Fun Blast From The Past
Posted .I must admit, I have been hunting for this on dvd since dvd's were first invented. Part of my endeavor to upgrade my vast collection of old vhs tapes to dvd. First was License To Drive (which took way too long to release, but I digress :). This was no oscar winning film and wasn't meant as such. However, the humor, the jumps, the great effects (for the time) and cast of (then) the most popular sitcom/t.v. stars William Katt (Greatest American Hero), Richard Moll (Night Court), and George Wendt (Cheers), made this film a real treat for me at the Mann 10 theatres back in 1986. I'm usually very picky about plots, and mostly acting.. but hey! what's wrong with putting all that aside and enjoying a fun movie without picking it apart. Such as today's teens go crazy over films like "Scary Movie", etc. Some of my favorite movies are my favorites for nostalgic reasons. This is one of the top on my list. The movie has definite entertainment value although today's youth may not appreciate it as I do. I will buy this and have a movie night with the kids and get back to you. In the meantime I'm stoked that it's finally been released on dvd.
