So far we’re very pleased with the Insignia freezer. It works as described; we’re using it as a freezer. It’s larger in the inside than we thought, and we love having the drawer and sections on the door. You literally plug it in, wait half an hour...and your freezer is ready to go. Due to the pandemic, we’ve been stocking up on food and meals, and have made, vacuum-packed, and frozen meals for my daughter and her hubby, who just had a baby. So in addition to our back up stock, there are about 21 dinners stored in the freezer. I froze all the dinners flat, and then stacked them sideways in a file folder holder; worked great!

Freezers are hard to get these days that are either sold-out or not within 250 miles from where I live. I had been trying to buy one for over 2 months. I kept checking and checking Bestbuy for one. The Insignia 13.8 Cu. Ft. Upright Convertible Freezer/Refrigerator finally showed up at my local Bestbuy and I was there to snatch me up a freezer finally. I like that it can be used as a freezer or refrigerator. I will be using it as a freezer...needed one to catch the overflow of frozen foods and meats after shopping. Also, in the near future, I'm going to buy a quarter cow for the freezer to use in the future...and to be prepared. What I like about this freezer. 1. Size 2. Deep Glass Shelves 3. A Decent Light 4. Freezes Quick 5. Alarm If Door Not Closed 6. Frost Free 7. Bought At A Decent Price! I've had the freezer for about a month and it freezes away with no problems. If you're looking for a good mid-size freezer...this is it.

It is versatile. I can be used as a fridge or as a freezer. I am using it as a garage fridge. Large capacity. Low noise. Easy to setup. Working great.

We absolutely love this appliance! It doubles as BOTH a full-size stand-alone refrigerator AND freezer in one stand-alone appliance.. What a great idea! And it’s big. You can fit as much (if not more) refrigerated food or frozen food in this appliance as your regular kitchen appliance. You have the option to go back and forth between using it as a refrigerator OR as a freezer. Just change the digital controls on the outside of the door! The digital control also has a feature to lock/unlock the settings that only you control. We keep this one in the basement as backup to store overflow or extra food that won’t fit in our regular built-in KitchenAid appliance in our kitchen. It’s a lifesaver, and even an energy saver. Ref

First ever upright freezer after having chest freezers for years. Upright freezer make finding what you want much easier. No more digging around to the bottom. Everything is right infant of you. This is also spot on with the temp. I put in two different thermometers, one on bottom and one on top, both are showing the set temp exactly. And it is also frost free. No more messy thawing and defrosting. With 13.8 Cu Ft., this freezer has tons of room for food, a spacious drawer at the bottom and lots of storage in the door as well. Easy to keep foods organized and within easy reach. This freezer is garage ready which is where it stands. It is an outstanding value for the price and we give it 5 stars.
