Q: QuestionWhat kind of absolute warranty does it come with? What assurances do I get I won’t be another internet story of a refrigerator that broke after a week and best buy already has my money so they don’t care?

- A:Answer We've had ours for just 2 months and end of the ice feeder shaft shattered where it connects to the motor. Insignia will not replace it under warranty because "this will not be considered a manufacturer defect since the part was damaged during normal use." ????? I'll be fighting this. A part should NOT break after 2 months of normal use. So far the rest of the unit seems to be ok but time will tell. Hopefully this is not a common problem but I am more disappointed with customer service than the broken part. Good luck.

Q: Questionis there an off brand water filter that fits this fridge? water filter stopped allowing water through it at the 2 month mark. it has been "unavailable" to purchase for 2 months now. not able to use the water dispenser until i get a new filter.

- A:Answer It can be connected to a water line so that the ice macker and water dispensor can function. But if your asking if a water line kit comes with it, no it does not come with it. You must purchase a kit separately.
