When I purchased the Acer 10.1 Notebook in Nov. '16 I deferred to rep's recommendation to use standard size HDMI cable with the "T" adaptor that accommodates HDMI to both the micro and mini ports. The mini HDMI port interfered with the nearby power cord port of which the conflicting stress when both were plugged in eventually cracked the interior of the port of the notebook. Since the first return Geek Squad has sent the device back two (2) more times of which it is now awaiting pickup on the third as I have yet to learn of any assurance that the new damage incurred at the repair center or at the shop has since been resolved. Therefore, I cannot review actual performance of the HDMI to Micro HDMI cable, but surely the less space required will ease up on the required space needed for both ports that are poorly engineered too close to each other. I feel certain that the replacement cable will work just fine as a straight line cable will surely be an improvement over a clumsy and space-consuming T-shaped adaptor, but could not give it a 5 Star yet until I place device into service with the new cable. Therefore, this is not really a reflective review of the cable, but instead of the inept repair service of Geek Squad. Even the local agent has noted such and flagged this with Geek Squad's authorities. I maintain steady and solid patience.
