Insignia™ - Tripod Thread Mount Adapter

I had a bunch of mounts laying around for my go pro camera and I wanted to utilize one of the mounts to get my DSLR mounted onto the back of my monitor during these WFH times. This is a perfect solution!!! I ordered two just have to extras to be used.

This lets you use your GoPro mounts and so on to mount other types of cameras like Sony action cameras or very small lightweight point-and-shoot cameras. It can be used with the GoPro tripod, the GoPro bicycle mount, or whatever you might have that would work appropriately with your 1/4" - 20 mountable device. This is a pretty smart and practical idea, so we can thank the manufacturers of this adapter! Using some other items, I have a plan to attach two GoPro cameras, bottom-to-bottom. This way, one can be recording video, and the other can be shooting a burst of photos. This would be all simultaneously! Anyway, this item is essential to that assembly, but certainly insufficient for it all by itself.

This works well. Just don't expect it to hold up during extreme use situations. (Riding on a bicycle on a bumpy road, motorcycling, outside mounting on a moving vehicle). Basically I'd only use this on a tripod or while vlogging.

I used two of these to mount my ALTEC Lansing Super Life Jacket speaker to my UTV (Offroad car) using GoPro mounts. One of these mounts broke off with ease. I went and bought another one and it’s working fine. I realize that’s not what they were meant for, but it’s getting the job done.

Works well, helped take some good photos, would recommend. Although products like this always feel like they should cost less.

I have a camera that has a 1/4 mounting screw and I have some action camera mounts. This little piece provides the essential connection between the two styles of adapters. It has held great but the plastic feels a little cheap compared to branded versions.

I like the metal ¼-20 thread and the rubber surface between the tightening nut and the camera. The plastic GoPro mount feels sturdy but is very tight in my GoPro brand accessories. I am worried that the plastic tightening nut will not be very durable but it works well right now. The included screw to attach this to the GoPro mount does not have a Philips head screw reassessed in the handle which I like to have to really tighten everything in certain situations.

This works great with go pros. Very steady and rigid. Couldn’t ask for a better item. I also used this for my mirrorless canon camera .. it also was excellent . Just a great all around product.
