BEWARE - Best Buy lists as Blu-Ray/ DVD - no DVD

This is a public review more for the listing on their site Best Buy has, not the movie as everyone can tell from many positives that the movie is great. My problem is Best Buy has it very clearly listed as Blu-Ray/DVD which anyone who purchases movies frequently knows means there is a Blu-Ray disc and a DVD copy of the movie. However this is not the case. I only purchase combo sets, so instead of getting say the 4K edition and a DVD separately, I selected the combo of this, the title and description clearly saying Blu-Ray/DVD but I received it and apparently this movie doesn't even come in a combo set. When I called to report this, Best Buy phone support were extremely lacking, informing me I could return it or exchange it, that the Blu-Ray/DVD on the description meant and I quote them "you will get either a Blu-Ray or a DVD" I review movies for a living, always purchase both editions to review the sound, picture, etc for both versions, so I have seen many many listings with the words Blu-Ray/DVD and never in over ten years of doing this has that meant you "seemingly randomly" will get one or the other if you purchase that. I wanted to warn others who may get confused by the description that this is only the Blu-Ray version of the movie, a great movie sure, but don't think you are getting both versions. Hopefully this saves some trouble for others. I still feel Best Buy should make good and send me the DVD since I purchased in good faith their description was accurate, but again, at least I can review and report this so others will be aware.

Now I don't know about you, But "THE ROCK" Dwayne Johnson, and Kevin Hart, are two wonderful actors, This is not the first movie with both actors in it, If you get a chance check out Central Intelligence, But the movie was wonderful, CGI on point, Delivered lines, Action and adventure. Its about some kids that get detention, form school and are told, to clean an old room, in the school by removing Staples from magazines, when they find Jumanji, which has transformed itself, to match the times, into a video gaming system. As the Students choose there characters, They begin to Disintegrate into the game. From there on in, you will have a laugh out loud time, **warning** if eating popcorn, watch out for choking hazards from the jokes. This was a fantastic movie.

Unlike the original, this movie transports you into the world of Jumangi. The acting is GREAT, the scenery is beautiful. From the Breakfast Club in detention to their avatars in the jungle, the story is nothing short of brilliant. The Rock showing his insecurities as a nerd turned macho-man and Jack Black channeling a teenage girl is just fantastic. Equally impressive is Karen Gillian, a hard bodied, sultry young lady, unsure of how easily she can lord over any man; quite different from her time on the Tardis. Kevin Hart is hilarious and the action comes at you with both barrels! You can't help but laugh and even shed a tear. Get a copy today and enjoy it anytime, over and over.

I grew up on Robin Williams and have always "liked" Jumanji. It's good and had some laughs and the effects were ahead of it's time in the 90s. But I've always just kind of liked it. I really had no interest in the sequel and wasn't sure how the story would work(especially without Williams) but they did a great job tying it to the original while surpassing it's story. Of course Dwayne Johnson is great and Kevin Hart is funny, but Karen Gillan steals her scenes and Jack Black should've gotten an Oscar for his performance. I know that's a stretch, but while watching this movie you believe he's a 16 year old girl trapped in a man's body. He nailed it!

Awesome and Fun action adventure film for the whole family.Four high-school kids discover an old video game console with a game they've never heard of, Jumanji. They are immediately drawn into the game's jungle setting, literally becoming the avatars they chose: gamer Spencer becomes a brawny adventurer (Dwayne Johnson); football jock Fridge loses (in his words) "the top two feet of his body" and becomes an Einstein (Kevin Hart); popular girl Bethany becomes a middle-aged male professor (Jack Black); and wallflower Martha becomes a badass warrior (Karen Gillan). What they discover is that you don't just play Jumanji--you must survive it.

Dare I say it, even better than the original! My 12 and 13-year-old kids and I watched it at the theater and were practically rolling on the floor laughing so hard. Our cheeks were sore after Haha I immediately waited to pre-order it and then counted the days until it was available! Great cast, constant humor that both children and adults can enjoy, lots of twists, and even has an underlying heartfelt storylines in it. I love how the characters in the game get to do some off-the-wall moves just like you'd be able to do if you really were in a game. Hands down the BEST family film of the year so far!

If you’re expecting this movie to live up to the original Jumanji, then you will be disappointed. This was an interesting take on a classic tale, it had its moments, but also had a lot of drawbacks. The acting wasn’t spectacular, nor was the storyline. With a cast of notoriously funny actors, this film definitely had its fair share of laughs, and plenty of action to boot. A+ for good looking special effects though! In the end, it would’ve been nice to see the writers stick to the roofers of jumanji, but it was still a decent flick, at least worth a watch.

I saw this movie in the theaters and didn't expect much but when I left I was very very surprised this movie out did itself it was actually better than the original, we actually get to see what goes on inside the game instead of outside like the original one personally I think they did a phenomenal job with how they made this movie, bought it on 4K because I wanted to get the best picture possible it's one of those movies I can watch over and over and over again and still enjoy it.
