KitchenAid - KitchenAid® 9-Speed Hand Mixer - KHM926 - Candy Apple Red

I was looking at mixers and went with the Kitchen Aid for their reputation of quality. And it shows here, this mixer is good looking and works great. Other brands were touting their high watts so I was a little concerned that there was no power rating on this one. But it's plenty powerful for a hand mixer. I made a quiche and threw in a whole bag of spinach, plenty of grated cheese and it never slowed down using only the second speed. The attachments fit great with only a little of pressure and the release button is large so you won't miss it. I would have liked the on/off switch to move back and forth as apposed to sideways, but that's minor. And the bag for the attachments is a nice touch, I would definately recommend this mixer to a friend.

It can handle thick cookie dough of oats choc chips nuts coconut etc. This never taxed the motor Performs the task in seconds to mix 9 speed motor only way to go Cheap mixers of other brands will Burn up and smoke with that This mixer 9 speed will last a lifetime! This mixer was bought as a birthday gift for my adult daughter, and she couldn't be happier. She'd been wanting it for a while, but they're normally kind of pricey. Best Buy had a really great online deal on it, plus the free shipping, so I made the leap. It arrived quickly and was well-packed. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from Best Buy's online store, again.

If you need a handy mixer with a lot of power and several different functions, this is the unit you need. Sometimes the big Kitchen Aid Mixer (another MUST HAVE in the kitchen) is not what you need. You need something that you can quickly get the job done, and a tool that won't over work you while doing it.

I needed a good mixer that could handle thick cookie dough recipes and since we already have a Kitchenaid fridge, oven, microwave and dishwasher, we figured why not get the matching hand mixer? I was also researching the OXO hand blender, but since I had some BestBuy Cash and BestBuy.com didn't carry the OXO, the decision was made easier. After getting the item in the mail, my initial thoughts were the mixer felt a little cheap and flimsy. The plastic housing was thin and the overall fit and finish wasn't as high of quality as I expected from one of the more expensive mixers in the market. I know the Kitchenaid engineers wanted to build something light and easy to handle to reduce hand and arm fatigue, but I was hoping for a more sturdy feeling product. But once I started using it, the appliance seemed to handle everything pretty well. the motor was pretty quiet and seemed capable. I've only used it once on cookie batter, but I'm sure it should be able to handle thicker dough pretty well. I wish I had a chance to try out the OXO mixer too, but so far, this Kitchenaid one is pretty decent.

I got this as a gift for my sister. I already own one and I absolutely love it. I use this one for small batch dough and use the 600 series professional stand mixer for larger batches. This is an incredible hand mixer. A particular advantage is the "slow start" feature.....no splatters all over the kitchen or me! Mixes beautifully and quickly, and the dough hooks handled some stiff cake batter easily. Lots of speed choices. I'm going to order the extra long beaters to add even more flexibility for those doubled/tripled recipes.
