Klipsch Custom-1 headphones rock!
Posted .When you buy headphones over $100 you expect something special. More often at times, expectations fall short because sound quality from most brands don't deliver. You want headphones that have good bass, crisp highs, and clean vocals. But to your displeasure the headphones you buy have no bass & the highs are so ear piercing high it makes you mad (Shure SE110). So now you try again with another brand just to find out the bass totally rocks now, but the highs & vocals are non existent and all your music sounds muddy (Bose TriPort IE). A perfect pair would be right in the middle of those 2 examples pretty much. I own the V-moda vibe headphones. For the price, they might be the best sounding in that price range. You get good bass, plus the highs & vocals are detailed. It's everything you want in headphones! Well to my delight people, I found another great product in that $100 price range! These Klipsch Custom-1 headphones are everything the V-moda vibe are & even more. True you're paying a little more, but you'll notice where all it's going in these headphones. The bass is good & tight, not too boomy. The highs are crisp & the vocals are clean and natural. It's a more warmer feeling sound than the V-moda vibe headphones. Klipsch gives you a nice case & many ear gels so you'll find the right size for any ear size. The cord is tough and doesn't feel cheap. Wearing these headphones are comfortable & the noise isolation is great! My 1st impression on these headphones were as advertised. It's everything you expect when paying around $100. Of course there are more expensive headphones out there that even sound better, but in the $100 price range these Klipsch Custom-1 headphones have the best complete sound compared to Bose, Shure, and even V-moda. Go out & buy these headphones like I did & you'll be one happy customer. Klipsch knows how music should be heard!

Amazing headphones!!
Posted .I bought a set of these headphones in the airport and I wanted the following: 1. Noise cancelling 2. Ear buds 3. Comfortable 4. Something I could work out with. These were all of this and more. Well.. they aren't noise cancelling, the are noise isolating which basically means they are earplugs with speakers. They work. With music playing in these you really can hear anything else. The technician let me hook these into my Samsung Blackjack 2 with the adapter and the sound was awesome. He explained to me the proper fitting which involves the bendable overear piece and the rubber flange. Once you find the right flange, you just have to adjust the over the ear piece and the headphone will float inside your ear canal. The only thing that actually should be touching you ear cartlidge is the soft rubber flange which makes them very comfortable. When you have these set right, it will basically turn your hear into a speaker box and the bass will explode and you should get a good quality sound. I have run with these and used them on the airplane as well as at my computer. They are a bit pricey for in ear phones, but they are worth the money. My wife ran with these one time and now I am buying another set two weeks later. If you had a bad experience with these, I would be willing to bet you just need to have them properly fit. Oh yeah, there is a pretty good step by step in the book. They also come with a nice hard case and a handful of various earbuds to get you started.

Best Ever BY FAR!
Posted .I thought I wasn't going to like these headphones from Klipsch even though they are the best audio company in the US. They sounded too bright for me with no bass. They also didn't seem to fit right in my ear. But after some bending adjustments to the wire I got a good fit and the bass came on! Wow! Wow! Wow! I couldn't believe the difference. These babies ROCK! If anyone has problems with lack of bass on their Klipsch headphones then they aren't wearing them right from my experience. I didn't think Klipsch would let me down and they didn't. They are worth every penny.

Patience
Posted .Like others I've read about, I struggled to get the fit right with these headphones and the sound is terrible if they're not positioned correctly. Once I discovered the secret to proper fitting, I was astounded. The sound quality is amazing, especially in the lower frequencies. I highly recommend these as long as you have the patience to get them correctly fitted.

high hopes
Posted .As an old hippy, Klipsh was THE speaker to have. And I still want to check out their in-home speakers in the future. But as far ase these in-ear type of headphones go, I'm not impressed. The mids and high are great, but there aren't any lows. I've tried all the inserts included with very little change in sound or fit. I must say that I've had very little luck with any "in-ear" headphone, no matter who made them. I use this type of headphone around the house doing chores most of the time. If they sound good, they fall out, if they sound only so-so, they stay in. These don't sound very good, AND they fall out. If I sit still on my rear deck, and don't move, they are almost okay; but if I move, pop, they're out. VERY sorry to say that my Klipsh bubble has burst.
