Q: QuestionCould this speaker connect to the destop computer? If could, how?(4 answers)
A: AnswerThe R-50M is a passive, non-powered speaker that will need to be connect to a receiver/amplifier via speaker wire. You can then connect the receiver/amplifier to your desktop computer to achieve a signal path from the computer to the speakers.Answered by Klipsch Product Expert
Q: QuestionWill these speakers work on a carpeted floor or will it effect the sound?(3 answers)
A: AnswerIdeally the speakers should be placed at a height in which the top horn is close to eye/ear level (this will ensure optimal imaging of the sound). The speakers can be placed on a carpeted floor but there may be frequencies that are lost depending on the listening position and room acoustics.Answered by Klipsch Product Expert
Q: QuestionCan these be used on a covered back porch?(9 answers)
A: Answerunless it is a completely glassed in porch. I would not. I would think that a humidity or moisture would be bad for them.Answered by Anonymous
- A: AnswerYes! The R-50M bookshelf speakers are good additions to a home theater setup and are typically used as rear or side surround speakers. Please keep in mind that these speakers have a power handling of 75 Watts at 8 Ohms. You will want a receiver that supplies close to 80-100 Watts per channel at 8 Ohms to ensure quality audio reproduction and longevity of the speaker's components. Q: QuestionWhat are the dimensions tall, length, width,?(3 answers)

- A: AnswerThe R-50M speakers have a power handling of 75 Watts at 8Ohms. The Denon AVR-X1700H should be able to sufficiently power the R-50M speakers since this receiver has an power rating of 80 Watts per channel into 8 Ohms (20-20,000 Hz) at 0.08% THD, with 2 channels driven. The Denon AVR-X1700H has two RCA subwoofer pre-outs. These pre-outs can be connected to the R-100SW's RCA Line Inputs. All in all, this would be a great setup!

Must buy product!
I got these to replace my old Boston T830 floor standing speakers in my bedroom. The Klipsch bookshelf speakers sounded much clearer with greater detail, and have decent bass for such a small speaker. I mate these with a Klipsch R-30 center and a 12" MK sub, hooked up to a Denon AVR-S570BT receiver. The Denon is 70W per channel with loudness up to 99. I have only had this system up to 55 and that is very loud with excellent sound reproduction.

Premium quality and sound by Klipsch
These are my first pair of Klipsch bookshelves after owning JBL, Infinity, Pioneer, Jamos, and many others. First, the looks is stunning and quite vintage...I love it! Second, 92 db sensitivity means they are very efficient and weasy to drive! I've tried them with my vintage Pioneer receivers and even a 16w Kenwood with no problems turning it up! This new R-50M are not fatiguing as previous models and has a wider wave guide. I play records and prefer a warmer sound of gud 'ol classic rock, intrumentals, country, 80's pop and metal so my music range is quite varied. These speakers sound very detailed as well as offer a gud amount of punch. While not audiophile qulaity levels, they will satisfy just about anyone's music taste...and stay on budget! If you want beautiful looks as well as competent performance, these are worth a look. I've been pleasantly surprised at the sound quality and should get better after a "break-in" period. These are a "keeper" for me!

Great Sound!
Great sounding speakers. We had tall Bose speakers and we wanted smaller speakers that take less room, these are perfect! We purchased stands from Amazon to get them up off the floor.
