- A: AnswerThe process works like this. You must insert an SD card into the scanner for it to process your work. As you scan your slides (if it is slides) you will save them onto the inserted SD card. Yes, the scanner will connect to a Windows 10 PC/Laptop. BUT, per the instuctions, that will only be for your computer to access the SD card in the scaner to upload saved digitized pictures from the SD card to the computer. Scanning/saving additional slides while connected to your computer will not function. You must disconnect from your computer to resume that process. So far, I've only saved to SD card. I've not connected to computer using the USB cable that came with scanner. And, since my computer has a SD slot, I may use that slot instead of connecting. The scanning/digitizing of a slide (saving onto a SD card) is very fast. Takes only seconds. I like how quickly I can do a tray of 140 slides. Hope this helps.

Q: QuestionWill the Scanza scan Kodak Advantix film?(3 answers)
A: AnswerYes, you will need to use a small tool at one end of the cartridge where there hole is that opens the flap of the cartridge when turned. After it opens pull film out and slide through unit.Answered by Cathy
- A: AnswerThe Scanza uses 3 connections for power and connecting to your computer. The USB cable attaches to the Scanza and wall plug adapter for power to the Scanza unit. When done scanning, detach the USB part from the wall plug adapter and plug USB into computer. The computer gives the Scanza power and the you can transfer/copy your files to your selected directory on your computer. I really enjoy my Scanza. The film adapters are easy to use. Be gentle when sliding old slides, they do stick, but just remove holder pop open and move slide to correct position and put holder back in unit. I did massive research for home scanning and this is the best unit and best price for home archiving.

Q: QuestionHow does it handle super 8 film?(2 answers)
A: AnswerThe Kodak Scanza can do single shot scanning only. If you want to scan the Film into a moving picture, that the 8mm and Super 8 is really used for. I researched the Wolverine products. I have not bought this product, so I cannot truely recommend it from experience. If I was to buy for moving pictures, it will be a Wolverine product. Customer reviews are the key on selecting a product. My background is in archival of documents and single shot photos and single shot film. Kodak Scanza is great for individual shots to JPG format. Easy to backload to PC, rename and organize. Hope this helps you. Have fun on your scanning project.Answered by Cathy
Q: QuestionDoes this product include the SD card?(4 answers)
A: AnswerNo it did NOT. have the SD card. Luckily I had one from an old digital camera.Answered by Russellj
- A: AnswerThe Scanza scans slides and negatives to JPG format. This is a stand alone unit. Then you attach via provided USB cord to your computer and transfer/copy to computer. Then you can organize and rename photos. The Scanza does not directly scan to computer. The cord used for the scanner has a attachment to the wall socket for power and the detached from wall adapter and attaches to computer for power and transfer. See photo attached for cord and adapter. It’s a great unit, I highly recommend it.

Q: QuestionDoes the scanner include a memory card or is that purchased separately?(4 answers)
A: AnswerNo it doesn't include a SD card or USB, you have to buy it separatelyAnswered by luka
Q: QuestionHow many slides will a 32gb memory card hold?(2 answers)
A: AnswerOnce you turn on the scanner and save one slide it tells you how much memory is left on the SD CARD. I bought a 32 GB MICRO CARD which can hold 3270 slide images. It was hard to get this information before I purchased the scanner. I go through about 100 slides in an hour, take time to reminisce, and am saving about 10 from each of my 20+ boxes of slides. It’s very easy and you could scan them much faster, I’m having fun remembering some happy times with kids growing up from the 70-80’s.Answered by Sals
