Description
Dan Lindsay and T.J. Martin directed this look at the 1992 Los Angeles riots, using never-before-seen footage to paint a picture of the city's unrest after four police officers were acquitted in the beating of Rodney King.~Daniel Gelb
This documentary does a wonderful job of putting the riots of 1992 in its historical context. This film makes excellent use of historical interviews with residents and media clips of civil rights activists, public figures, and law enforcement to make salient points on systemic issues that ensure the cycle of over policing and rioting continue.
This documentary is definitely worth viewing.
I only wish National Geographic would release their documentaries on blu-ray. Sigh.
