After researching many different dishwashers, I finally went into the store and this clearly stood out from the others in the price range. The height-adjustable top & middle racks allow you to accommodate any size cup, bowl, or dish. The top rack is great for all your flatware and cooking utensils; the organizers assure everything will come out perfectly cleaned.
I was already happy with my choice, but once it was delivered and installed, it only continued to exceed my expectations.
It's so quiet! I had to check if it was even on when it started a cycle.
It works exceptionally well at drying; everything comes out bone dry! I was wary of it not having a heating element, but I was blown away by how dry everything was when compared to our last one that had a heating element.
It cleans exceptionally well; everything comes out spotless! The steam function really lives up to the hype.
I really like the wi-fi connectivity and the alerts you get through the LG app when a cycle completes.
Overall ease of use and the cycle options on the control panel are great.
The look and feel are top-notch. It feels well built and the finish on the stainless steel really does limit fingerprints.
I would highly recommend this dishwasher and I'm looking forward to many great years of service from it.
We've had the dishwasher for 2.5 months. We love our LG washer & dryer which is why we got a LG dishwasher. We are very happy with how it cleans our dishes (super quiet!!). However, we have three major issues with this dishwasher; one star removed for each issue.
Two wheels on the bottom drawer have either fallen off or broken.
The top shelf lifting/lower mechanism has to be put back together every time it's used.
The middle drawer does not seat well and if it's not pushed in well it dents the inside of the door.
We know it's outside the window to return this dishwasher. LG, Best Buy, if you're reading this we'd like to know how you will make this right for us. Kitchen remodel in the near future! Show us why we should buy LG appliances at Best Buy again!!

Soooooo quiet! And does a great job cleaning our dishes
Great dishwasher for less than 2 years but now having issues with rust and led numbers failing. Fortunately the trays have extended 5 year warranty. No surprise there. Replacement tray shipped. Would probably not buy again.

100% LOVE LOVE LOVE this Dishwasher !!!!
Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.
Can you tell I like this Dishwasher ? LOL
First off - SOUND
They say this dishwasher is 42db if installed correctly with the sound proofing they provide its WAY quieter ..
I had a GE that was also expensive for the time and I literally could not have a conversation next to it .. This LG , You seriously will open it thinking its not running.
Ok - CLEANING
With the ability to change rack heights and positions makes it very versatile. That third top rack with the adjustable left side is wonderful and very well thought out.
if you are putting dishes in without over crowding it cleans fantastic !
The App (IOS Version for me) although not very much you can do with it but I love it because it tells me time left, If it needs Dishwasher Drying Liquid, tells me when its done and when It needs cleaning.
I have LG's $1.500 Front load washer connected to the App and they two work well with the App.
I was a little concerned because I saw people saying dishes were not dry ??? Too be fair no dishwasher as soon as it is done will give you Totally dry dishes but I have unloaded this an hour after it finished and maybe a little condensation on the door that's it the dishes were dry.
Now this does have an extra drying button that will add like 30 min or so to the cycle but I have yet to need it .
A nice feature to it is if you run this say at night before bed and plan on emptying it in the morning it has a night time feature where periodically after it finishes runs an exhaust fan to vacate the heat and moisture until you open it in the morning ( works very well).
It also has an interior Led light that my old one never had and now i will NEVER be able to live without !
Overall for $900 and some change this model is a Great
Dishwasher and BestBuy service was quick on the delivery so
Yes for the money this dishwasher is well worth it !
In the pictures I did not pull all three racks out fully I just showed the the 3 to give you an Idea .
Love this dishwasher. I was concerned at first that it didn’t have a heating element like my old dishwasher but I put the setting on extra dry and everything is mostly dry. Honestly no worse than my dishwasher that had the heating element. It is roomy. The 3rd tray at the top is nice for utensils and doesn’t seem to take room away from below. I also love that there is a light inside to make it easy to see. Dishes come out sparkling clean. All in all I am pleased with this.
It gets the dishes clean and you can tell there's a lot of thought going into the organization of the inside. However, one of the wheels on the bottom drying rack has fallen off and I'm finding it impossible to find a replacement. This is very annoying! Also on the very top silverware rack a few of the prongs that you put your silverware through have broken off. I have only owned this dishwasher for a few months!
A:AnswerHI Mak. We regret to read that your recently purchased LG - 24" Top Control Smart Wi-Fi Dishwasher - QuadWash - TrueSteam - Steel Tub with Light - Stainless steel, Model # LDT7808ST is not drying and apologize for any inconvenience. This dishwasher uses a Hybrid Drying System which does not use a heating element during the drying process. ; instead, it relies on the heat that is retained by the dishes and the tub during the wash and rinse cycles to turn the moisture in the tub into humidity. Warm, moist air in the dishwasher is then pulled into a condensing duct in the door by a fan. The air then cools, which causes the humidity to condense. Room temperature air is also drawn into the duct to help the air cool down faster. When this moisture condenses into a liquid, it is drained out. Your water supply temperature should be a minimum of 120°F (49°C) and Rinse aid is strongly recommended to enhance the drying performance of the dishwasher because it plays an integral role in the drying process. If a rinse aid is not used, water may remain on the dishes and the tub. Rinse aid helps to ensure that the majority of the water has been sheeted off of the dishes at the end of the rinse and that the load is ready for the dry cycle. Drying performance is directly affected by the amount of heat that remains in the tub after the heated rinse is performed. If your dishwasher is far away from your home’s hot water heater, it may be necessary to run the hot water tap in the sink before starting a wash cycle, to ensure that cool water is purged from the hot water lines. This will ensure your dishwasher has a consistent supply of hot water from start to finish. Using the High Temp setting also aids in keeping the inner drum temperature and dishes hotter before drying begins. If a rinse aid is used and the performance still needs a boost, adjust the amount of
rinse aid used. 2 is the default setting, but if necessary set the level to 3 so more rinse aid is used.
Water tends to bead rather than sheet off plastic and nonstick surfaces, making them more difficult
to dry. If washing plastic items in a Normal cycle, select the
Extra Dry or Night Dry option or both for better drying results. When the rinse aid is empty, the Extra Dry option is selected automatically. Allow the dishwasher to completely finish the dry cycle before opening the door
. If the door is opened in the middle of the dry cycle, the heat that is necessary for the hybrid dry system to work will escape. This will cause all of the dishes inside to remain wet once the cycle finishes...^IFV
A:AnswerNo, the filter is not self-cleaning. A self cleaning filter is a close relative of a garbage disposal, I have read. It uses more electricity and is noisier. Instead there is a filter in the front bottom about the size of a large can of baked beans. You reach in, give it a twist, pull it out and empty it into your garbage disposal, rinse and return it. It is a matter of philosophy, rather than saving money. They made this thing to be very quiet and very low energy use. I am looking for every convenience I can get, but this seemed like a decent trade-off.
I haven't had any it leave behind any food yet, so I imagine it is mostly a matter of the less you scrape/rinse the sooner you have to empty the filter.
A:AnswerThe man who installed it used Sprayway Stainless Steel Polish and Cleaner. I haven't bought a can yet because I already had another brand, but the stainless steel polish works fine to clean the front.
A:AnswerThis is the only LG model that comes in black matte. If you want an LG without a handle in black stainless or stainless without a handle, check out models LDP7808BD or LDP7808SS by LG. It has the same features as this model. If you aren’t interested in LG, check out Samsung, Kitchen Aid, and Bosch. They all have models with no handles.
