Induction Cooktop

Our uniquely designed induction cooktops offer exceptional power, precision, and responsiveness for fast, efficient, and even cooking. Induction uses electromagnetic energy to directly heat your cookware—and only your cookware—making it 5-10% more energy efficient than radiant electric and about 3 times more efficient than gas. The cooktop remains cooler, making it safer and easier to clean.

Safer Operation and Easy Cleanup

Because induction uses electromagnetic energy to heat only your induction-compatible cookware, and not the cooktop itself, fire hazards and risk of burns are reduced for a safer experience. And since the cooktop remains cool, drips and splatters won’t burn onto the surface, allowing for easier cleanup.

4 Induction Elements

Four induction cooktop elements of varying sizes and power levels provide all the power and precision you need.

UltraHeat 3.9kW Element

With 3,900 watts of power, our UltraHeat element is powerful enough to rapidly boil water and flexible enough to turn down to a true simmer. Plus, the induction elements can conveniently adjust to accommodate different sizes of cookware.

Automatic Cookware Detection

Using sensors beneath the surface, activated cooking elements only operate when compatible cookware of the appropriate size is detected within the cooking zone. If cookware is not added, or is removed from an active element, the element will deactivate after one minute.

Cookware Compatibility Indicator

How well your cookware heats on an induction element depends on several factors, such as the cookware's size, material, and shape of its base. Our cooktop is equipped with a built-in Cookware Compatibility Indicator, which rates cookware and element compatibility on a scale from 0 to 10, to help you optimize the power output and performance of each element and maximize energy efficiency.

Boost Mode

Need extra cooking power? Activate Boost mode to maximize an element's power output for up to 10 minutes. Ideal for quickly boiling large pots of water or heating large quantities of food.

Convection Technology

LG's convection technology uses a fan to help deliver the optimal temperature and hot air circulation needed to cook food faster and more evenly while also enhancing your dishes with deliciously browned and crispy textures¹.

Air Fry Technology

Quickly air fry enough crispy favorites to feed a crowd, while saving time and counter space. High temperatures and the convection fan work together to deliver the flavor and crunch you crave with little to no oil.

Scan-to-Cook

LG's Scan-to-Cook feature takes the guesswork out of frozen and ready-made meal prep. Simply scan the barcode on the packaging via the ThinQ app to remotely send cooking instructions straight to your oven².

This 10-minute cycle lifts soils without chemicals or high-heat thanks to our specially formulated porcelain-enamel interior. Then, easily wipe away the leftover residue⁴. For the occasional deep clean, use our standard Self Clean feature.

Hood and OTR Microwave Sync

For a seamless cooking experience, sync with your smart LG Hood or Over-the-Range Microwave via the ThinQ app. This feature automatically activates the Hood or Microwave's fan and light when the cooktop burners are in use and deactivates them when the burners are turned off.

Kitchen Timer

Conveniently track and manage meal preparation with the help of the built-in timer. The easy-to-use timer and display ensure quick visibility to the remaining cook time, while the convenient alarm lets you know when the timer is done.

Control Lock / Lockout Mode

Control Lock is a safety feature that allows you to disable the control panel and oven knob functions, preventing accidental activation of the cooktop and oven and providing a worry-free experience.
