I got this so that my wife could do presentations without needing to stand behind a podium or walk back and forth to her laptop to navigate her slides. She had originally asked about getting a laser pointer so I did some research and found this handy wireless presenter / laser pointer combo. It was quite reasonably priced compared to other alternatives I found so I was a little skeptical that it would work well, despite having the Logitech label on it. Installation could not have been simpler. Simply plug in the USB dongle and pull out the battery saver tab. I was able to start testing it immediately. The green laser worked great although I find the dot a tad fuzzy compared to other lasers I have owned in the past. It simply does not have as crisp an edge to it than I expected. However I may be spoiled having used some very expensive pointer systems in the past. Using the buttons to navigate the slides is intuitive and very responsive. I also like the ability to disable the display at the start or end of the presentation. That was a nice feature I have never had on presenters before. All in all it is a very well priced device that does the job very well. So if I have nothing but good things to say about it you may wonder why I did not give it 5 stars. The reason is I rate on a bell curve. To get 5 stars in my book something has to be truely outstanding, not just very good. Far too many people rate on an inverted bell curve which is useless in my book; you cannot truely get a sense for how good (or bad) something really is because _everything_ gets either the lowest or highest score every time. Pros: Good, comfortable design Intuitive controls Very easy to install and use Very reasonably priced Cons: Laster dot is not as crisp as I would have liked

I have to tell you so many people are quite to put this presenter down because they say it will not work with MAC. They are completely wrong. If you know anything about computers don't always assume it will not work. You just have to make some configuration adjustments and it works fine. It's a MAC not a PC. So for those who have MAC and don't know what to do I give you some instructions below. The first time I plugged it in, a "Keyboard Assistant" ran since the Mac didn't recognize the "keyboard". I simply quit the assistant, and there was no problem. The forward, back, and black screen buttons work fine on both Powerpoint and Keynote. However out of the box, the "play" button works on neither. With some configuration in the system preference, I was able to get the play buttons to work on both powerpoint and keynote. To configure Powerpoint for the play button, go to the Keyboard system preference and pick Keyboard Shortcuts. Then scroll to Application Then hit the + key to add a shortcut. Pick Microsoft Powerpoint for the application (you may need to hit Other... to find it, since it's in a subdirectory in Applications). For Menu Title type in, exactly, "Slide Show" (without the quotes). Then in the Keyboard Shortcut, simply press the play button on the remote. That sets the shortcut to F5, which is what the remote sends when you press play. Now the play button works for Powerpoint. You can do the same for Keynote, with the menu title "Play Slideshow". you may have type in keynote in the search to find it. However after you do this Both will work fine. Also this works for the Logitech R400 as well which I would rate as a 5 star as well

My mind wanders and when the teacher is trying to give the lesson, I have been known to drift onto a rabbit trail in my head only to be awakened to my name being called because the projection is not keeping up with the speaker. Now that I have this little gadget, the teacher can easily go from slide to slide and back without worrying about the sound man getting lost in some side issue or other and forgetting to advance the screen. Where he teaches is about fifty feet away from the computer in the sound booth and it hasn't missed a beat turning to the next slide. The Shabbat School teacher really likes the laser pointer! It helps him to draw our attention to exactly what is being covered on the projector quickly, easily and without interrupting the teaching flow. Installation was hassle free. I just plugged in the receiver and brought up my program of choice. I did add a six foot USB extender just to get the receiver higher in the air for a better reception as opposed to on the floor plugged into the back of the computer. I don't think it was really necessary, but I just wanted to be sure the signal would reach. I don't know why I didn't get one sooner! I use it with PowerPoint and ZionWorx, (a song presenter). I am very pleased with its performance. It does what is advertised with no surprises. My kind of product!

We wanted a counter depth frig, stainless and found this model without handles which fit with the look of our other appliances. We read the reviews and the only negative was the capacity of the ice maker. This seems to be an issue with many of the new refrigerators. This was no problem for us because we kept the old frig with the ice maker connected in the garage (tons of ice). We love the middle drawer for sodas or deli etc with the variable temp. Even though it's counter depth, the interior arrangement of space doesn't seem to be a problem. Inside the freezer compartment the two drawers make organization much easier. We've had it now for a month and no problems. We also like the pitcher that is always filled with cold filtered water. It's easy to fill an insulated to-go bottle and add flavoring if needed any time no ice necessary. Crushed ice is a little slow but it does the job. There are hand holds at the top and bottom of each section so it's easy to open and close each compartment without touching the stainless.

Overall this is a great presenter and I would buy this one again and have recommended it to colleagues. Although Logitech doesn't advertise it, this presenter works 100% with Mac OS X Mavericks (10.9) and Powerpoint for Mac. The carrying case is nice if you travel and need to stuff this presenter in your bag. The countdown timer will buzz the presenter in your hand at 5, 2 and 1 minutes which is very helpful. The USB receiver stores nicely inside the presenter base. The green laser is the brightest of any I've seen on a presenter. I didn't give it 5 stars for a few reasons. The battery life is good, not great. The LCD display isn't backlit and is hard to see in darker settings. The case is nice, but it's shaped to put the presenter in upside down... the same direction as the on switch on the side. It's really easy to turn the thing on and kill the batteries when you're putting it in the case. I wish the case had enough room to carry an extra set of batteries. The positives far outweigh the negatives of this presenter.

It appears Logitech makes a presenter with a 50' range and a 100' range. I purchased the one with the 100' range. I'm able to walk anywhere in a large room and have never had any reception issues. Set-up is a matter of plugging the USB remote into my computer and carrying the presenter with me. I love the capability to turn the screen black after setting the presentation up so that when people walk into the room there isn't anything on the screen. I can also turn the screen black at any time during my talk so people listen to what I'm saying instead of looking at what is on the screen. The laser pointer is very easy to use and doesn't require another device for pointing something out (just remember not to shine that laser into someone's eyes). Forward and reverse buttons make it easy to operate. I have not used the special timer application, but this presenter has definitely made my presentations easy as I'm no longer tied to my computer when presenting.

I needed another presenter pointer because I was tired of relying on my clients to have a working one. I had previously looked at reviews for the Logitech pointer and was pleased, especially with the thought of having a timer in my hand. The long range control of my presentations allows me the freedom to move more and increased my audience engagement. I'm also an educator and find it critical to move in and around my students. It is also helpful in workshops. The only downside that I have found is the actual timer. It doesn't give you seconds, only minutes, so it is hard to time and gauge where you want to be in your presentation. There are lines (like a digital hour glass) that disappear as the time goes by, but it can be confusing and distracting to watch and try to figure out. So, I don't use it. Overall, the Logitech Presenter

I've used this to give 4 talks in the last month. Works great and as intended. It does not say Mac compatible, but it works flawlessly with powerpoint. Mac OS seems to treat this like a keyboard and asks to hit some keys when starting, I just cancel that window and it works just fine. The one button even brings up the full screen mode and blacks out the screen if you don't want your audience to see anything. The backwards and forward buttons are fine. The green laser pointer is much better than red for me, although color blind people may not see the green pointer. I did not try it using keynote, but it supposedly works with that program too to advance and back up slides. I also love the fact that it keeps time for the speaker. I'm usually rushing at the end and when it gave me the close to end warning, I was able to plan out and skip a few slides.
