The 13-year-old boy Luca Paguro (Jacob Tremblay) finds himself in the beautiful seaside town of Portorosso on the Italian Riviera for the summer. There, he meets Alberto Scorfano (Jack Dylan Grazer), a fellow teenage boy, and together, they spend their days eating pasta, downing gelato, riding scooters, and going on endless adventures. Their fun, however, is constantly threatened by their fear of the townspeople finding out about their little secret: that they came from the depths of the sea. Alone the movie as a whole is worth the purchase for this movie. The steel book comes with two discs one 4k Blu-ray and one standard Blu-ray and a digital code in which you can enter online to receive a digital version for the movie. I like the art that was chosen for the cover and inside the steel book. The only annoying this is the way the disc slots are made, kind of made it hard to remove the discs but if you can get around that it is worth it to me.
In a digital world, many people now watch movies on their gadgets via Netflix, Hulu, etc but my family is different. While we appreciate those options, we still treasure our VHS and DVD movies. So when my children spotted this movie in Best Buy and asked for it, I said ok. It came with two discs. My children love this movie and have watched it countless times. That is why they wanted to add it to their movie collection. I have watched it with them and it is a pretty good movie for people of all ages. Time we left Best Buy, my children opened the movie and popped it into the DVD player in my vehicle. That is another reason they gravitated towards it. We travel a lot, so dvd movies come in handy while on the road. I think this movie is hilarious and interesting.
Product is better than expected. All functions are working including Wifi connection. Could not get hardwired network to work. Will work on it. Only issue I had was that the manual does not show connections to Xfinity cable box. This could also be a reason for network connection above. Hooked up to the best of my knowledge. Stereo 5.1 works. Went to Bestbuy to see and hear 5.1.2. No one on that date could assist me. Overall, I am satisfied with sound. May change my speakers at a later date for improved sound effects. A little larger in size than expected, thus would not fit inside the cabinet to have sufficient air circulation. I wanted to add photos, but you want access to my photos. This is not acceptable.
Disney and Pixar have done it again. This is an engaging tale of what happens when you fear and demonize “the other” rather than accepting them and learning from them. It is an upbeat fish out of water tale about how we can all accept each other even though we are different and get along.
I would recommend this to a friend

Another good Pixar movie
Great casing, great movie. This one is definitely one of my new favorite Pixar films. The style is different compared to all the other Pixar films, and the colors are amazing. The story itself is small and contained but that probably what I liked most about it. This isn’t some crazy fast paced adventure story with hyper realistic graphics, it’s one town, one lake, and 3 kids. And the pacing is great too
Charming coming of age film about fleeting childhood summers, making new friends, & broadening your horizons. Beautifully set on a seaside Italian town modeled after the Cinque Terre, sea monster boy, Luca, spends his summer learning about friendship from Alberto and Giulia, and exploring the world beyond his natural home. Wonderful family film that both the young & young at heart will enjoy.
Just finished watching this film and I love it because it's an Italian film and I'm from Italy. And I love the old school Italian music and the detail of how Italy looks with the food music, people, Italian language and history. Had some funny moments
Best from Disney Pixar since ''Coco" in 2018. Excellent family entertainment - watched this in room with people from 7 to 75 years old, and all enjoyed it very much. Great animation, great script...
what we have come to expect from the 'Magic Kingdom'. Thanks to Best Buy for stocking a SteelBook Edition in 4k Blu-ray and 2k Blu-ray. Great Buy.
