I bought this unit April 2021. I figured that it would be my air purifier for life. It worked well for a while, then it started making a noise which I talked to support and they sent my another unit as a replacement in May 2022. I had an autoship of a new filter and when I tried replace the filter the unit said there was no filter in the unit. Support said that since I was out of the year warraanty by 2 months. I would have to buy a refurbished unit for another $500. They were not very helpful to get this unit fixed and this went on for over two weeks. So the cost of the unit was $500 for each each I used the unit. (2 years @ $500/year) This doesn't include the cost of the replacement filters, which will run $150 every 6 months. There are better units out there that will do a decent job that can be used and disposed of when the for less than have the price. Don't waste your money.

After using the Air Pro for a couple of days, I can confidently say this Air Purifier works like a charm! The whole unit is approximately 23lbs., which tells you how much tech is built into this device. The Air Pro came with a carrying bag(pictured below), and the PECO-Filter was inside the air pro but wrapped. The set-up is straightforward and doesn’t take long. You will need to push down and rotate counterclockwise on the center core to access the filter. Upon doing this, you will need to take the filter out of the bag and simply place it in the Air Pro. Then, align the lid with the red mark inside the Air Pro, push down and turn clockwise. There you have it! You can plug it into an outlet and start running the air purifier. If you want more information about the particle level and the ability to manually control the fan speed, all that can be done through the Molekule app. ===================================================================================== USAGE/FEATURES: I have been using the Air Pro for a couple of days now and am completely satisfied with the usage so far. The air inside my living room has never smelled so pure. Although, there was a strange smell coming out of the Air Pro that went away after 36 hours. The smell is supposed to emit from the air pro but Molekule assured that the smell would go away after a while. The tiny touch screen on top of the air pro shows various items. The current status of your Air Pro. The PM(particulate matter) sensor level. The air pro is designed to detect three different size ranges of particles. The light on top of the Air Pro plays a factor in detecting these particles. The sensors let you know how much of these particles are in your air using a color scale. Green = good. Blue = very bad. Excellent technology by the Molekule team! There are two auto-protect fan modes: Standard and Quiet. There is also manual mode which you will be able to cycle between 6 fan speeds. Caution, the fan gets loud at the highest setting. The PECO-Filter Status lets you know when you need to replace the filters. And finally, a couple of settings for the Air Pro. I previously mentioned that I do a lot of cooking and wow, the smells quickly dissipate once I am finished with my cooking. When I am away for a while and come back home, the smell of fresh air hits me like a brick, that’s when I know the Air Pro is running correctly! The technology in the Air Pro is amazing. As of November 2020, the app is a little buggy at times where sometimes I cannot connect to the Air Pro and get stuck in the endless cycle of trying to reconnect to my Wi-Fi. The app is somewhat new and understandably will have a couple of bugs. Hopefully, the developers will be able to address the issue quickly. Honestly, you can’t do much with the app. The only useful features is the ability to control the fan speed, view the status of particle levels, and the status of the PECO-Filter which all can be done with the touch screen on the unit. I don’t see the app being useful in the long run, unfortunately. Hopefully, there will be more features added in the future. Maintenance for the Air Pro is expensive. The Air Pro is expensive in itself but replacing the PECO-Filter is another story. According to Molekule, the filter lasts about 6 months. To replace the filter costs $150. Or you can sign up for auto-refills which costs $99 every 6 months. You’re either paying 200 or 300 dollars a year for maintenance. I am amazed at how wonderful the Air Pro works. I never gave much thought to how polluted the air inside my home was before obtaining the Air Pro. With this running, I can confidently say there is a major change in air quality inside my home. The Air Pro and maintenance costs are a bit expensive but If you are looking for better air quality inside your home, I cannot recommend this enough.

Awesome air purifier! Easy on the eyes and cleans the air with ease. I bought this because I smoke in my basement and I did not want the smell going to the main floor. At its highest setting it’s pretty loud and the lowest setting is very quiet! Works like a charm.

Marketing language on exterior packaging expresses high ideals on behalf of consumers. MOLEKULE offers a range of price points and model sizes to accommodate a variety of room sizes and price points for those who find the AIR PRO model a reach. Interestingly, documents are attached to the exterior of the AIR PRO box that have useful statistics for those who might need the highest level of the MOLEKULE technology for large applications such as nursing homes, gyms, medical and/or hospital applications, et al. Distributing the MOLEKULE data at the consumer level is a great way to inspire the decision makers at home based businesses as well as businesses of all sizes to consider air purification as another means to reduce the spread of Covid 19. The company surprises the consumer with a luxurious special touch: Sunken into a white cotton duffle with handles and cinched at the top by a thick grey cord, the machine must be coaxed out of its 'gift' wrapping. A wide, rugged leather handle affords easy transport of the Unit between locations within the home. Unlike the industrial look of its competitors, the AIR PRO design is exquisitely modern and elevates any room with a touch of elegant high style. Unlike competitors these days, the manual is printed on an ~ 7” square card stock. Silken to the touch, the font height is easy on the eyes as are the graphics. The guide got me quickly through unboxing, removal of plastic from the filter as well the reseating of the unit's cap on to the filter for start-up. Download of the APP for Android was trouble free as was my initial connection to Wifi. I really like that the unit’s 360-degree air intake uses a laser driven particle sensor to measure the microbial load of a room. With each startup, a tiered status report is displayed in the APP and/or in the Unit’s top mounted digital screen. Track the readings in the APP or on the Unit’s round digital screen: GREEN for Good/ YELLOW for Moderate/ RED for Bad/ PURPLE for Very Bad. At initiation, the APP and the Unit’s digital screen indicated that my initial PM status in the bedroom was MODERATE on all levels. After closing the bedroom doors then returning after an hour, the APP and the unit’s digital screen indicated the room’s PM had been reduced. My new status was upgraded to GOOD on all levels: PM10 coarse particles, PM2.5 fine particles and PM1.0 microfine particles. Since set up, I am pleased to announce that my sleep pattern has improved. Mid cycle awakenings by allergens affecting my respiratory system have disappeared. To get a more dynamic reading of the Unit’s ability to clear PM, I moved the Unit to ‘kitchen duty’. I have a weak exhaust over my range; so, dehydration projects fill the house with the smell of spices, onions and garlic that I don’t want imbedded into curtains, carpet and upholstery. The Unit eliminated all dehydration odors within minutes to read GOOD on each PM Level. Likely that with a second Unit, I will not need a kitchen exhaust fan. Not following my own good sense, I unleashed VOCs from car paint touch up applicators in the kitchen. The AIR PRO handily eliminated the fumes in several minutes. At the APP and at the Unit, the user can scroll through options to adjust function from Auto Protect to Manual, view filter status, connect to Wifi, view product details such as Serial #, execute a reset, etc The manual boasts technology that uses PHOTO ELECTRIC (UV Light), CHEMICAL and OXIDATION (PECO) to eliminate viruses, bacteria, pollen, animal dander, as well as VOCs, smoke, cooking odors. The company states best in the field. So far, I see no other company using the PECO system. Though the rate of air movement through the AIR PRO can be manually adjusted from Levels One to Six, in my environment, when the Unit operates at maintenance level in a previously cleaned space, the Unit’s decibel has been near imperceptible at Level One. Level Six is the highest level. Used for rapid clearing of pollutants, Level Six has the sound of wind being forced through a tunnel. When not being manually adjusted, the sound of the fan increases relative to the level of pollution that the Auto Protect fan is attempting to clear. This is a subjective issue since everyone’s level of sensitivity to sound as with light and EMFs (electromagnetic fields) is different. Nonetheless, for sound reduction, choose the QUIET option. If trying to eliminate blue light in the bedroom to deepen sleep, choose the DARK Mode to turn off the Unit’s UV light then reengage UV scrubbing during daytime hours. The Unit has a MANUAL option if you need to disengage Wifi EMFs to deepen sleep or limit exposure at any time. If hypersensitive to EMFs, sound or light, you can use the unit only as needed. Also, see the Radiation Exposure Statement at the back of the manual. Since I am on an EMF reduction campaign to improve sleep, I turned off the Wifi and unplugged the Unit. Next morning at restart of the Unit, there was no change in the PM status. The room was still at PM level of GOOD. This reading lets me know that no ongoing source of pollution is generating a microbial load such as mold spores from the master bathroom. I hold out hope that the need to dust will be reduced. The literature says that the Unit is energy efficient. If on a Solar panel diet or to be exacting about energy conservation for any reason, you may want to use a kilowatt meter to track the Unit’s energy consumption 24/7 to evaluate the cost of your pattern of usage. BTW, you may be able to get the kilowatt hour usage data at various fan speeds from MOLEKULE’s customer service then multiply that by your usage time and cost per kilowatt hour to project costs to inform your purchase. For tax purposes, so far, I don’t see that the Unit is Energy Star Rated; but, leniency is in order if the certification process is anything like that of the organic food industry, long, arduous and expensive. Warranty coverage is 2 years. Bottomline, MOLEKULE air purification is a wise defensive strategy for home and health: 1) to eliminate indoor pollutants that emerge from furnishings and unwittingly from personal projects as well as 2) to eliminate pollutants that infiltrate from the outdoors such as smoke from woodburning and grilling neighbors as well as vehicular and industrial emissions, pollen and other threats to my immunity. Having a poly-sytemic impact on the human body, heavy metals, chemicals, viruses, bacteria, mold, pollen, animal dander, etc can bioaccumulate over time turning on genetic markers for disease and premature death. In addition to detox protocols to mitigate exposures, MOLEKULE is a useful tool in the mitigation of harmful levels of toxicity increasing in our air, water and food. Occurs to me that a new basis for comparison will have to be designed to give the MOLEKULE a fair shake. Unfortunately, without the technical skills and tools, I was unable to conduct a comparative analysis with the smaller Honeywell units in other areas of my home. Moreover, I was unable able to find a third-party platform that established a basis for comparison of the MOLEKULE to other units on the market in a manner that could not be manipulated. In other words, I could not trust demos by competitors with biased intentions. Filter replacements can either be scheduled with an Auto Ship subscription or ordered as needed. Once the filter gets congested, the machine will briefly cycle on then off, reminding the user to make the purchase. Preferable would be a filter design that does not require periodic replacement and expense. Filters that can be cleaned at home frees the consumer from having to engage in subscription maintenance tasks and payments. These days almost every device and APP seeks endless attachment to the consumer’s bank account. Since hypersensitive to chemical pollutants, I was concerned after reading that the unit might off gas odors from its new plastic housing when unboxed. On reading that potential, I thought to put the unit outdoors at start up but lost focus and failed to protect my boundaries. Thankfully, the charcoal pad included in the packaging did a great job absorbing the odor. Any emissions that occurred beneath my awareness did not cause an allergic reaction. The manual says the Unit “will be unable to detect their presence (to) automatically adjust the fan speed to remove them ‘(i.e. VOCs off-gassing from the Unit’s housing)’ ”. I am not clear why the Unit is unable to clear its own VOCs. The Unit cleared VOCs from glue fumes inadvertently released in my kitchen. Still wondering where the difference lies.

This is a review for the Molekule Air Pro 1,000 sq. ft Air. Purifier Initial thoughts: Very modern looking. It's Not too heavy, just over 20 pounds. Has a leather strap to carry it. Decent length cord. Clean design and very easy to put together. All you really have to do is remove it from the box, open the lid and place the filter in. Make sure the red lines match and shut the lid. Turn on and you're good to go. All in all, took less than 2 minutes to put together. I've been eyeing one of these for sometime, so I was happy to get hold of it. You can really tell the difference after a few days. It helps eliminate odors, kills certain bacteria and alerts your smartphone. The best part of this is the smart detection. It's constantly on patrol and can sense when a large amount of pollutants enter the room. If the smart detection is auto, it'll automatically turn itself on and work to rid it. To put this feature to the test, my wife and I cooked Bolognese without using the kitchen hood. Obviously the odor from the food isn't toxic, but it definitely changed the odor levels in the room. All of a sudden, we heard the device kick up a few levels to work its magic. Within 20 minutes it took  Another great part. A neighbor of ours was using the firepit and we happened to have a window open. A lot of smoke and odors entered the house. The device detected this and turned itself into a higher setting. In about 20-30 minutes we were smoke and smoke smell free! My eyes and nose are super sensitive to odors and particles in the air. Since I've been using this, I have had ZERO issues! There have been a few occasions when it's noticeably turned on (indicating a spike in particulates), but it doesn't take long to eliminate those. The reason I took half a star off is because of the expensive air filter. It's a bit petty of me, I know... But it's already a pricey machine and will be a higher expense to replace the filters. I want to point out though, that I highly recommend this air purifier. It's fantastic and one of the best I've ever owned. Even though there's a small lag in the app, I know it's constantly working when it needs to be. We leave it on auto and I trust it enough to work it's magic. I have a very sensitive nose for odors and haven't even flinched since we've had this device. When you look at clean air vs. money, obviously you want clean air. But I understand affordability will keep some people away from buying it.
