When a serious injury ends her dreams of competing in the Olympics in skiing, Molly Bloom (Jessica Chastain) discovers a new calling: organizing high-stakes, underground poker games. She finds great success at first by catering to celebrity clients, but when her poker game is raided by the FBI for hosting members of the Russian mob, she turns to a charismatic lawyer (Idris Elba) to help keep her out of jail. Kevin Costner and Michael Cera co-star. Iconic screenwriter Aaron Sorkin makes his directorial debut with this biopic, which is adapted from Bloom's memoir.~Jack Rodgers
I enjoyed this movie definitely worth a watch at least once.
I would recommend this to a friend

A must see film
I only bought this film because of Aaron Sorkin writing the screenplay. I have loved everything he has ever done and I took a chance on this film. I was not let done by this incredible story. What an amazing life Molly Bloom has lived so far. She is brilliant and Jessica Chastain did a wonderful job playing her. The entire cast was superb. Kevin Costner, Micheal Cera, Graham Greene, and Idris Elba all add to the excellence of the film. I highly recommend this film to all!!
Sorkin's reputation for crisp, rat-a-tat dialogue is well deserved, and he has an intriguing protagonist in Chastain's Molly Bloom. Sorkin directs a lot like he writes: fast and smooth, bordering on slick.
It’s a showcase role for Chastain. Even the voice-overs feel worthwhile and necessary (probably thanks to Sorkin).
All in all, I was impressed with Sorkin’s long overdue directorial debut. It’s a strong debut. However, something felt missing and perhaps it’s Bloom’s lack of personal relationships, the length of the film (Sorkin’s over indulgence), or the fact that I’m not sure why I should care about any of this.
The disc itself looks as great as it's going to look on a blu-ray disc and the same goes for the sound. The sound is as great as it's going to get it for a blu-ray. It's the perfect blu-ray disc.
Really good movie--had me riveted the whole time. The fact that it's based on a true story made it all the more compelling. After watching, I read the true story of Molly on the internet and found who was going to her card games. Very illuminating who was involved and how this all came down. I think most people will find this movie interesting, fast-paced and highly engrossing. I would watch it again.
I really enjoyed this film. Molly's Game is told with great style and depth, with a great performance by a very sensuous Jessica Chastain. Idris Elba is, as usual, superb in his role as her reluctant attorney. This is solid, adult drama with every character contributing to a very satisfying whole. I loved the ending and the suspense of the final courtroom scene. In short: the movie is flawless: it never drags: it tells a great story: and it builds suspense to a very satisfying conclusion.
