Low Price, Lots of Fun
|Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed.I'm currently building up my blu ray Bond collection during quarantine, and Moonraker was the next one up. This copy comes with a digital code, which is super convenient if you're feeling lazy but wanna watch Bond. But as a review of Moonraker: if you enjoyed Kingsman 1's ridiculousness, you'll love watching a classic cheesy Bond film.

You Got Me
|Posted .I admit, there's some REAL cheesy stuff that takes me out of this movie. However, other cast and moments kept me hooked. Lois Chiles is one of the best additions to Bond movies ever. The Rio setting and Jaws' "masquerade" moment was really creepy. I think this Bond movie may be the first where a minor female character actually gets rescued (spoiler, sorry - it's still suspenseful). More big set pieces that aren't to be missed and some really great stories on the extras. For me, when they all went to space, so did my interest, it just got too goofy, as well as Jaws romance. However, they did pave the way for Machete II, that's worth something.

Bond on Blu-ray, never looked better
|Posted .I like the more modern Bond films as they start to add more cars and gadgets and become more action style films than just thriller spy movies. Now don't me wrong, I love all the older ones too for their stories and acting and I have all of them on BD and they've never looked better but I'm an action kind of guy, so I lean more towards the newer ones for that reason. MGM did a great job on all the films, picture quality, remastered sound, tons of extras, every one of them is worth owning so don't hesitate now, grab them while you can.

The weakest James Bond entry of the series
|Posted .Pretty bad reputation among Bond fans. There's no doubt at all that the movie was meant to cash in on the science fiction craze that was sweeping the world in the wake of Star Wars mania and the Bond producers obviously wanted a piece of that potentially lucrative pie. The results are pretty mixed, but as hokey as the film is, it isn't completely without merit or its own off-key charm

Moonraker Blu-Ray
|Posted .This is an affordably priced blu-ray that has many special features on it. Definitely worth picking up for James Bond fans. Picture and audio look great. I won't spoil any plot points for those who haven't seen this movie but I will say this James Bond outing was an obvious attempt by MGM to cash in on the Star Wars craze that was in full swing back in the '70s.

James Bond at his best
|Posted .Agent 007 (Roger Moore) blasts into orbit in this action-packed adventure that takes him to Venice, Rio De Janeiro and outer space. When Bond investigates the hijacking of an American space shuttle, he and beautiful CIA agent Holly Goodhead (Lois Chiles) are soon locked in a life-or-death struggle against Hugo Drax (Michael Lonsdale), a power-mad industrialist whose horrific scheme may destroy all human life on earth!
