ND4SPD has had a wide variety of games and they have usually been very entertaining however this constant fad has forced EA to push out games under the ND4SPD franchise that aren't always true to the spirit of the original and the career mode is laughable, and being out in the country (thus stuck with EVDO or DSL and this is causing a loss of sales as I am NOT buying games that require a constant internet connection, I have purchased several games for the PC, and Xbox 360 over the holiday sales and I just can't see paying $50-$60+ dollars for a game with 2,3,4 or more disks and then having to spend 3 to 7 days installing and updating the game from "Steam","Origin", "Guild Wars 2, IE Arena Net" and I am going to have to put my money where my mouth is and stop purchasing games that require a always on internet connection, these updates/installs tend to be 5GB, 11GB, 28GB, or more which is just plain dumb as the disks that you buy at the store have all the data on them, so why do you need to download them? I know people that have bandwidth usage limits, and then you spend 4-6 weeks to install and play a game that you have been waiting a long time to buy and play, yet "pirates" can download the game, install a .exe crack and be up and running in very little time and this just seems to promote piracy which i despise as i believe that if you like a game you should pay for it so that another can be made, This is completely unfair and disorganized. Please push game manufactures to make at least the "single player'' or "Campaign mode". For example in addition to this game I purchased CoD BlackOps2, and GHOSTS, as well as Battlefield 4, Mass Effect 3, Guild Wars 2, and several others, and i have played 1 mission in BF4, and about 3 hours in Guild Wars2 as it takes so long to install, download, update, and jump through a bunch of hoops just to play a game. I have friends that have Comcast 20Mbps "gamer packages" and even they complain that it takes a long time just to play a game 9even on a game counsel such as Xbox360 or PS5 and this really must change and as a paying consumer I have had enough and I will just go back to playing of games even if it means running VBox, or VMWare and just play some "old school" games that just work out of the box, IE: open box, insert disk, select install, enter the CD-Key or Serial Number and i can be play!!! I would hate to do it as i have 12 (1 - i7-950 on a X58 chip-set with 48GB ram and a 1TB Hybrid SSD and a HD4870x2), (1 - 2600k on a Z68 chip-set triple channel mobo with 32GB RAM, dual 1.5TB, and a HD5870 Eyefinity 6), and my newest one is a Socket 2011 i7 3930k Hex-Core on a Z79 chipset with 64GB of Quad Channel RAM, dual 1TB Hybrid SSDs, six 3TB HDD, and dual HD7970's and a Corsair 1200 Watt PSU. My laptops at equally impressive with 1 - ASUS G75 ROG w 32GB RAM, 500GB SSD, 1TB HDD, 2GB nVidia 660GTX. and more, and the best speed i can get from any ISP is 1.5Mbit/down and it just takes to long to even open game, much less install from STEAM or ORIGIN, etc and then play so PLEASE BEST BUY, I have been a loyal customer for over 23 years and all i ask is that you put some pressure and provide feedback to these companies that think it is no big deal to download 25-30GB just to play a game, i could understand if you purchased a digital Copy but i buy physical copies at your store and i expect to be able to drop the disk in the PC or Xbox. I wish that ND4SPD had a better single player or campaign mode as i am not a fan of the "play on Xbox live" against people i don't know, but worst of all is the damage, compared to Forza it just isn't a very realistic game in comparison, but PLEASE for the love of god help us (those of us that BUY GAMES, but are limited by are internet speed to do something to be able to play the games that we spend our hard earned money on, or else the companies that make these games, and companies like yours that sell them will lose our business! Thank you and best regards Milo Hajek My Best Buy store #408

    Need for Greed?

How would you like it if you went to a local grocery store for a bag of Doritos but the store would not sell it to you unless you bought a whole case of salsa in addition? It looks like Microsoft has done just that. I have been a loyal NFS fan since the 1990s. This is the only game I play every 2-3 years. A new release out? I buy it and let the good times roll for a week or two. This time it turned into a nightmare. I insert the disk into my XBOX360 Slim. The game wants to download a 1.6GB update. No problem. I have 3 drives. Internal memory (3GB free), an XBOX360 fat edition harddrive connected by cable (10GB free) and a 4GB USB drive. The game notifies me that none of these are acceptable and it wants me to buy an additional Microsoft drive. Frustrated, I restart the game and try again without the update but it doesnt let me skip the update. It definitely is determined that I spend another $135 for the harddrive I dont need since I have plenty available storage on top of the $60 I already paid for the game. I chat with Microsoft support. After an hour of reiterating the same point, the support rep finally understood and presented me with two choices. Either buy the new harddrive or use somebody else's to start the game. I patiently explain that this is the only game I play. I cannot possibly justify spending $200 for it and then wait another 3 years until a new NFS release is out. I dont have any local friend that play this game to borrow the harddrive from either. She apologizes profusely, but offers no help at all. At this point I drive to the same local BestBuy store I purchased the game from. I have no receipt anymore (it never occurred to me that I would ever need it, I didnt expect to be shaken down). No problem. they find the purchase and hear me out. The store manager issues a full refund. I wish Microsoft understood what BestBuy learned a very long time ago. Customers dont like to be extorted. They vote with their dollars by taking their business elsewhere. That is what I am doing. This Need for Greed release was the last one I ever bought.

Need for Speed - no really, need for hard drive

My son purchased the Need for Speed Rivals game - brand new. The packaging had a sticker on it that covered a small icon that featured one key piece of information - Hard Drive Required. We have not invested in this piece of equipment. Instead, we opted to return the game to Best Buy, but were unable to because the game is now open. (We had the receipt and had not even had the game for 24 hours) Long story short, my son used up his Christmas money to purchase a game that he can't play until he buys a hard drive. I am disgusted and he is disappointed.I do understand copyright concerns, but I am frustrated that unless we purchase a hard drive, all Best Buy or EA can do is say, "I am sorry."

My love for the NFS franchise goes back to the begging with the pc version release in the 90's. Yes there are some flops in the franchise, there are some epically hard releases (Shift2) and there are the ones you can play over end over again ( Pro Street). This current iteration of the legendary franchise seems to be a rework of a previous title. That being said it is highly entertaining and challenging in almost all aspects. The driving physics are relatively accurate with some changes to help the player instead of making you feel like you need to relearn everything. End result is I will most likely play this until the disc is melted by my console, just like I did with Pro Street.

Its a fun game to play, however, there is a prevalent number of cheaters/exploiters in the online arena. Granted, you can just race/bust computer players, however, the online aspect was one reason I purchased this game. Steering/drifting can also be somewhat difficult, even for a longtime NFS fan like myself. The graphics are great on 360, can only imagine what they'd be like on a One. Be sure to d/l the mobile NFS: Network app on your phone or tablet to unlock additional in-game content. Overall, it is a fun, challenging online game, however, I think EA has dropped the ball on issuing patches and needs to fine tune the drive physics to make the game better.

It is a suitable game for the series. I am enjoying playing the game. However, it does not have the same degree of fun that I experienced with 'need for speed: hot pursuit". the ramp up for officers to chase and shut down racers is too quick. the ability to have friends join is an involved process and trying to hit a hideout while being chased by police becomes a hit or miss affair. I do love the handling of the cars, the number of races and the ability to readily know when a player has taken down a wall time. however, it is not as fun as the previous entry in the "nfs" series for me. I would still recommend the game, however, not as enthusiastically as I recommended "nfs: hot pursuit".

    EA sports is the worst

the back of the box says it needs 2GB of memory spacy. The HD content download in the game says it needs 1.6 GB of space. Now the freaking EA sports website says the game needs 3GB of hard disc space available. Worst thing the game cannot be played with out this download and you can only download all this content on a XBOX hard drive. So users with 4GB can forget about it, it will never download in a flash drive or any other hard disc connected to the xbox. I will not recommend EA ever again ..

All Drive doesn't hinder on the games progression. It's very fun and addicting. The car selection and variety is totally awesome. Music is very catchy and entertaining and they are new hip songs which is very cool. The graphics are as good as any Forza racing game. This is for a 360 game. This game is better than any other game my son has played and it was worth every penny spent on it. It's the best Need for Speed game yet!
