||Posted .A tank of a Camera. I'm just learning how to use it. The PDF manual that goes with it is full of all kinds of information. But Nikon has a website with tutorials as well. This is my first digital Nikon SLR as I have a Nikon analog film camera that I love.

Takes perfect pictures just on the auto setting
||Posted .Owned for 6 months when reviewed.I bought this camera for my GF's new hobby/potential new side gigs. She loves it and we use it for afternoon delights. Out of the box it takes perfect pics on the auto settings. She's even taken photo classes so now she knows how to adjust all the settings for those dimly lit photo ops. We're still playing around with the movie settings but it seems to catch a lot of details. Opened up photo ops with friends too. Happy Happy Joy Joy

Nikon D780 reviewThe Nikon D780 is something of a DSLR-mirrorless camera hybrid. But does it offer the best of both worlds?

Nikon D780 review: Even the best DSLR is still a DSLRThe Nikon D780 replaces the half-decade-old D750. It's a worthy upgrade, but its best new features concern live-view shooting, where the D780 becomes an overweight mirrorless camera.

Nikon D780 ReviewNikon's combined the best of its DSLR and mirrorless cameras into one tough-built body, equally well-suited for stills as it is for video. For effectively modernizing one of the brand's all-star camera lines, it receives our silver award.

Nikon D780 ReviewWhile Nikon continues to push forward with their new Z-series of mirrorless cameras and lenses, the camera maker nevertheless remains committed to DSLRs, as evidenced by their latest unveiling: a successor to the wildly popular D750 full-frame DSLR.

Q: QuestionIs the lens offered with this camera an FX lens? also can I get the model of the lens. Thanks, Carl
Asked by CarlStl.
- A:Answer I purchased the Nikon D780 24-120 Kit. The D780 camera came with AF-S Nilkkor 24-120mm f/4G VR lens. The lens is a great all purpise lens. Does well with close & far shots. Also, does well with moving subjects - kids, pets, sports. However, I still need a telephoto lens to get those great natural wildlife shots from far away.

Q: QuestionThis is an FX format camera? How many auto focus points will it have? Also, water resistant? Is this the direct next versionn of the 750?
Asked by Beantown77.
- A:Answer Yes, this is a Full Frame, FX, Format camera. It will have 51 Autofocus points, it will not be water resistant but it will have some weather sealing.
