A: Answer to 1st question, yes, SB800, SB700, SB900 and SB910 can fire each other wirelessly using iTTL creative light system. Do not understand 2nd question, I assume you are taalking about R1 closeup light system, if yes, you can control above flashes using R1. Remember line of sight and other limiting factors in iTTL system.

A: Both the SB-700 and the SB-910 are compatible with the Nikon Creative Wireless system and can be used on-camera or remotely. The SB-910 is a more powerful flash with advanced flash features, such as Auto Aperture flash and Non-TTL auto flash,that are not included in the SB-700. The SB-910 has a guide number of 34m/11.5ft compared to the SB-700’s 28m/92ft (at ISO100, 35mm Zoom Head position, FX format, standard illumination pattern). The SB-910 has a lens coverage of 17mm to 200mm, while the SB-700 has a lens coverage of 24mm to 120mm. The SB-700 is smaller and lighter than the SB-910 and features a faster recycle time of 2.5 seconds when NiMH or alkaline batteries are used. Both speedlights feature heads that can be rotated or angled, and both have the ability to manually adjust the output level. Q: Understanding Nikon TTL and Using IT

A: I did a lot of research, and was wondering, like you, how TTL works. After getting the flash and doing a lot of playing it is pretty nice feature, Honestly i was thinking it was like the old time flash units I used to have. TTL is Thru The Lens. For the people who just want to take a picture and not use the flash on the camera because it will wash out the subject, cause red-eye and not the best for distance, this flash with the TTL technology works by adjusting the flash intensity. During my testing, the flash auto adjusts when I change the lens and when I change the angle of the flash head and if I add the filter. The flash knows the angle of the head and if the filter(s) are added. I asked my daughter to watch from the side, she was able to see the change in the flash intensity with me looking thru the view finder could not. I wanted to make sure my wife could use it and not have to know a thing about it. This works. I Hope this answer helps.

Q: SB910

A: Go to Nikon USA site and select both flashes to compare features side by side. I have used both. SB910 have brighter LCD, dedicated menu button, hard plastic color filters and the BEST!!!! it does not heat as SB900. There is a big birth defect in SB910, you will have problem in connecting any other device to PC sync socket on flash. Other than this, best flash Nikon have produced yet.
