Nintendo - amiibo Figure (Splatoon Inkling Boy)

The quality of the figure is really great, as can be expected from Nintendo. Inkling Boy Amiibo will grant you the Squinja Mask, Squinja Suit, and Squinja Shoes in Splatoon 2. When equipped these items will grant you the special saver, swimming speed boost and faster respawn abilities. Great to enhance your gameplay while playing Splatoon 2 with the family. It also works with other Amiibo compatible games. Great for kids and adults alike.

This amiibo can be used for gear in game and you can also save a loadout (clothing and weapons) to it. I like the style of the Splatoon games so these are nice since they look cool and can be used in game.

If you got the first three Splatoon Amiibos from the first game release two years ago, then there is no doubt that this is also something an avid Splatoon fan must get. The functionality is essentially the same from the first Splatoon amiibos, but anyone who completely adores the this game's aesthetics would want this. The Inkling Boy Amiibo looks great on display with his female and squid companions.

The Splatoon 2 Amiibo set has definitely raised the bar for Splatoon Amiibo quality. Much finer detail without looking too dull like the original. For the Inkling Boy 2 Amiibo the added bonus of an in-game Ninja Suit is well worth it. (Ninja Suit does not give a competitive edge, simply for cosmetic purposes of wanting to be a Squinja)

To any Splatoon fans and/or amiibo collectors, this is another great addition to the amiibo series. The figure is colorful, has a fun pose and I especially love how the paint comes out of the base and holds the figure up. On top of that, it does provide some useful in game functionality such as unique gear and saving loadouts.

At least with the splatoon amiibos, they do something. Like, I have no idea why you'd need to save your character loadout to an amiibo, but you can! And you unlock a clothing set by using this guy, but lets be honest, we just want this lil cute plastic boy. if you're reading reviews for this, you don't need convincing.

I don't play Splatoon, but I loved the design of Splatoon Boy, so I had to add him to my collection. He looks great and seems to be designed differently than past amiibo. He is pretty big and made from a mix of shiny plastic. His hair is awesome, and he's one of my favorite amiibo, even though I've never played the game.
