I mainly use this for recording lectures, but I also use it to record some symphonic band concerts. Sound quality is overall very good, except the mic is sensitive at close range. That comes in handy for the concerts, but in large lecture halls, you can pick up even the slightest rustling of papers. Very minor issue. Overall, a very effective and dependable voice recorder.
I would recommend this to a friend

When I got this recorder I got it for to record meetings at work. I had no intention of listening to music on it, but I put a couple of mp3's on it and was quite impressed because it actually sounds better when playing back music than that of my iPod.
A:AnswerThe sound signal from this recorder can be recorded by another device if you purchase the optional accessory connecting cord KA333. Plug one end into the earphone jack of this recorder and the other end into the audio input terminal (the microphone jack) of the device you will use to record the signal.
Note please that when you adjust the sound quality settings related to playback on the recorder, the audio output signal sent from the earphone jack will change as well.
A:AnswerThe amount of recording time varies widely with the type and brand of battery as well as the selected recording mode.
As a rough example, if you use the bundled AAA NiMH battery and record in the 44.1 kHz 16-bit recording mode, you can get about 14 hours of recording time before the battery dies. If you used the same battery and recorded in the LP recording mode, you may get up to 21 hours of battery life.
