If you have played Garden Warfare 1 and liked it, you will love this game. New characters, new hub world, story like missions, hold the flag, tons of coins, new defender modes for zombies, secret areas, and new animations for the bosses. The game features nice graphics as well but the gameplay is where this game shines. The only gripe i have is with the multiplayer. I find myself sticking to single player because the multiplayer is a bit unbalanced at the moment. New every other day challenges with give you a boost to XP was a great idea, not only does it keep me engaged but it gives me something to work for while doing other things. This game built upon the first one in all the right ways, even so far as to not put links to their micro transactions(for coins). Speaking of which, like i said earlier from playing the game you generate enough coins to get new characters and other sticker packs. All in all the game is great and i gave it a 9\10 borderline 10.

I finally remembered to pick this game up, after forgetting to pick it up, at launch. This game is definitely fun, and doesn't take things seriously. PvsZ is a great option for kids, who want a first person shooter game, but the parents don't want them exposed to too much violence. The players get kicked out, rather than some sort of gory death. As for adults, they'll find it fun too (obviously I do). It has humor, and the game is still challenging. The gameplay is like rush, in battlefield; capture an objective, then a new objective becomes available. Don't skip over this game, if it looks too "childish" too you. My only complaint is that the game suffers from occasional lag issues. Usually once, per evening, I will have a moment where my player jumps back, from a lag spike. It's annoying, when it happens, but isn't an overwhelming issue

This is a worthy sequel and the new characters add to the game. But there is nothing revolutionary about this if you have played the first one. The things I liked: Base mode is a nice addition. It doesn't really add to the base game play but is nice if you don't feel like getting into a full game session. Graphics are still high quality and the environments are detailed and well suited to the theme. Playing the Zombie side is a nice bonus and is a fun way to play through the game. Things I don't like: Online play is still not very compelling. The match is fun but I can't find myself staying in the game for multiple matches. There just isn't enough there. Co-op/split screen. This game is begging to be played buy a bunch of friends sitting on the couch. It's casual. Why only 2 player split screen? We have 4 controllers! Seems like a missed opportunity.

Very fun game with lots of depth and customization. There are many multiplayer modes in this game along with single player story type missions. Every multiplayer mode can also be played solo with bots, which is really nice if you want to practice before playing against other people. You start out in a zone called "the backyard" and it is a open world zone with all the single player quests, garden ops, challenges, back yard battle, secrets, and a multiplayer player portal to play different game modes. I haven't done it yet, but I believe you can invite your friends and/or play with others in the backyard zone, which is a nice touch. I highly recommend this game, it is very beautiful with a lot of depth and personality

I love the 3rd person format of this remake of PvZ. I did not get to play GW1 so I am not sure how it compares with GW2 but I like the fact that everything seems to be accessable via "play to win" vs "pay to win". New characters are obtained through quests or via coins that are gained via quests and matches (either solo or multiplayer, your choice). Some of the quests can get monotonous given the rewards but you can gain characters on both teams so your will probably find something to appeal to your play style. Warning: there is grinding if you have your heart set on a particular character and you are not lucky with the (random) character packs.

And my oldest kid always wanted this game since it came out. I finally saw it on special so I decided to reward him for the good grades he brought me this year. According to my son this game is way better than the first one. It allows two player to play at the same time. So my kids take turns in playing against each other. The first game was only a one player so this game for my kids is much better. Now the only con I have against this game compare to the first game is that it required the purchase of the PS Plus Membership to play online against other players and to also continue the game.

I like to say I'm an avid gamer, I like to play all types of games. However I'm quite picky when it comes to online multiplayer. If it doesn't interest me or if the gameplay is clunky or boring I drop it right away. Not this game, I found this game to be extremely entertaining. The gameplay is fun and engaging, the online community is friendly, and the game modes are plentiful. What I like most about the game is how much the developer themselves care, and how they're constantly updating the game; especially the fact that all future DLC is free! If you're looking for a fun MP that's great for all ages, then I wouldn't skip this one.

I bought this for my son, who was a fan of the first game, and he wasn't the least bit amused. No matter how many times he tried to go back and play it, it just wasn't his cup of tea. According to him, the gameplay changes are what hampered the game most. They took a simple indie-type arcade game and tried to make more out of it and turn it into a big budgeted game. I myself am not a fan of these types of games, as they feel very lazy to me. Very reminiscent of an iPhone game ported to consoles, then it seems they tried to turn the sequel into an entirely different style of game. 2 stars on the behalf of my son and I.
