When you purchase the retail version of the Pokémon Sword Expansion Pass/Pokémon Shield Expansion Pass you will receive a download code that you can redeem in Nintendo eShop for either the Pokémon Sword Expansion Pass or the Pokémon Shield Expansion Pass.
