Devastated upon receiving the news that her husband has been killed in a tragic car accident, a woman wakes up to find him still very much alive as she begins to slip into a confusing world where the past and the future become increasingly difficult to distinguish. Linda Hanson (Sandra Bullock) was an average housewife with a loving family, but when a policeman comes knocking on her door with news that her husband, Jim (Julian McMahon), was involved in a fatal car accident, Linda's world slowly begins to unravel. While her grief is at first overwhelming, Linda assumes that the whole thing was nothing more than a vivid dream when she wakes to find her family still very much intact. With each passing day, however, Linda's reality shifts and her circumstances grow increasingly surreal; one day Jim is dead and the next he is right there by her side. As her investigation leaves her convinced that her husband's death wasn't a dream and that her picture-perfect life may not have been quite as flawless as she thought, Linda embarks on a mind-bending journey to prevent her grim premonition from becoming a reality. Now, in order to save the man she loves, Linda will have to piece together a perplexing mystery that seems to span two separate planes of reality.~Jason Buchanan

I have enjoyed watching Sandra Bullock in every movie she has made, and Premonition is no exception. It was a great mystery, not at all confusing to me. As the story line continued and we learned more about what was really going on, I was hoping each time she woke up that her husband would be alive. Right down until the final minutes when she attempts to change the past and save him and we learn that it was actually her fault he died because she told him to turn around, I was rooting that the ending would turn out happy. After the crash is reshown for the last time, I just expected her to wake up one more time and see him in the bed. The story just proves that we cannot change the past. I believe her character had a true power to see the future, but she was at the mercy of something she could not change. I enjoyed the story and the acting and the surprise ending which actually brought some happiness to the final situation. I will be adding this to my DVD collection.

Good, but not great
This movie was ok, but didn't really grab me. The cast wasn't as strong as I'd hoped and the storyline was a bit raw. The concept was cool, but a better situation could have been established for the "premonition" event. The event here was just too basic and didn't have any real action. You basically have to be in a laid back mood in order to enjoy this one.
I anticipated seeing this movie from the first time I saw the preview for it. In the end, I feel as though I had the same understanding of the movie as when I watched the preview. Sandra Bullock is great in this role. She is an excellent actress, but this movie just did not do it for me. It was confusing and I was a little disappointed and expected a better ending. I was glad that I saw it, just for the sake of saying I saw it, but I would not watch it again.

I enjoy this movie will watch with few friends over the weekend
This movie was amazing. If you liked Memento then Premonition is right up your alley. Its a fast paced movie that makes sure you're keeping up with the action. If you miss a moment you'll lose the whole premise of the movie. Once you get to the end you understand what happened throughout the entire movie. Its a great tie in ending. I'd recommend this movie to anyone who likes kind of mysteries, suspense etc.
