You cant use a usb drive directly on the tablet, BUT you could copy your files FROM the usb drive with the keyboard hooked up TO a micro sd on the tablet, then you would be able to have your files and disconnect the keyboard. I have not yet come across any cases that I liked for this 2 in 1. It does however come with a preinstalled screen protector.
