I can't see why it wouldn't as long as the program she is running is compatible with Windows 10. So far all my needs have been met with this laptop. Right now, I am working from home and my main project is doing closed captioning on YouTube videos that have been uploaded, along with everyday computer needs. No problems with it at all and I have owned this since 2018.
