“I am looking for a family computer. One the girls cld use for school (4th & 2nd grade) maybe some basic surfing for a 3 yr old and the regular surfing (facebook, Google searches ect) and possibly streaming like pandora and YouTube. Is this what we need?”

Yes It may not be full of bells and whistles, but it easily accomplished basic computing needs with a very small footprint. (It also has a DVD drive which may come I handy for playing or recording storage capacity for school projects.
