Do I need the box to warranty my ps5 controller? null

No. Just popped in yesterday. My PS5 was still under PlayStation warranty. They put in the warranty claim for me and it will be delivered to my house within 5 days and we kept the old one. Next time, geek squad will cover the repair/replacement. No box needed.
