I'm not sure if they can pull it up, but if you're a rewards member they can. Also, yes you can get a new unit for the band breaking. I myself purchased new bands instead of replacing the whole unit but you can.

They don’t need the receipt. They have the Fitbit number in their system. Got mine exchanged 3 days after I purchased it.
