No I think they run concurrent but I could be wrong so at the end of ur 2yr warranty you can take in the product for a once over to make it’s working correctly if not u can get your warranty for another two yrs once it’s fixed

Well worth it if anything happens. Case fell out of my bag, I drove over them (ooops) and only paid $70 to replace a $300 pair. Covers everything but loss /theft I believe
