Store #830 in Tacoma,WA says scratches are not covered. :( Couldn't give a legit reason, besides personal preference

I have to pay $90 + tax for the 'deductible' to fix a cracked screen despite having paid $80 for the 1-year protection plan. If I can go to a repair shop and spend around the same amount to get it fixed, what is the point of buying a protection plan?

Hello Switch – Generally speaking, a cracked screen would be covered under an Accidental Geek Squad Protection Plan, if the damage occurred within the normal use of the console. A scratch may not be covered if it is merely cosmetic. Please head on over to www.geeksquad.com/schedule to set up a reservation to visit your local Geek Squad so we can check the console out and see if it is covered. Be sure to bring in all of the accessories that came with the Switch when you visit.

Wont cover a z fold 3 screen. Wanted me to pay the deductible. Had an appointment at 10:05 am they said tech guy wouldnt be there until 11:00am dont think he ever showed up because I never seen him, wasted two hours of my time because I live in another county. It needed a new screen protector that is applied by maufature. So now I have an 1,800 phone with scratches not to mention the 11 dollars they take from me.

Yes, it covers everything. If you drop it and the screen cracks or you spill something on it. You are covered!
