Q: QuestionI purchased the tablet and protection as a gift. What is the process for transferring that to the receiver, for purposes of any future repair?

- A:Answer Good morning. So I got tired of waiting for an answer and went to Best Buy to ask. I was told that there is no direct way to transfer the plan, but that if you give the recipient a copy of the purchase bill (whiting out the dollar amounts of course), they can use that to get service. While that might make sense on some level, it is completely broke if you are trying to make an anonymous gift to someone (as is the case here). I would recommend rather, giving them a gift card for the amount and letting the receiver buy it themselves. BB might have some non-sense about buying support at purchase time, so YMMD. Merry Christmas.
