The accidental protection plans are okay. The problem I had was that one location I went to the tech keep referring to my keyboard on my laptop as a software issue when it turned out it was physically damaged.
I haven't had to use this protection plan for my new Surface yet. I have on a past purchase and the service was great. Easy to use and pretty seamless. It's a little expensive, but worth it if you ever need to use it.
