They’ll ask for the serial number on the back of the tv and get all the information from that. It’ll even bring up your protection program that you bought with it. If you have a bestbuy account. You’ll go to your profile and scroll down to my protection plans. It’ll be there.

Although I would recommend registering everything anyway since most issues will be handled through manufacturers warranty until that expires.
