• Yes. Bought this for my mother who also does not have HD. The picture is better than I expected it to be. She is very satisfied with it.

• Confused. This TV is HD. But it's just 720p. Even so, a TV of this size has a great picture with 720p. 1080p seems to only make a difference on larger TVs.
