“Why doesn't my HDMI selector recognize my TV automatically? I have my cable box signal connected to port 1. If I power on my TV and cable box on I don't get a picture until I switch from port 1 to port 2 and back to port 1 again. It doesn't seem to recognize the cable signal at start-up.”

i have no idea, i have the same problem connecting my wii u to my tv with this device
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If it recognizes the cable box after switching back to input one, it should be recognizing it initially. I would suggest power cycling the entire system by leaving all devices unplugged for a full 30 seconds which should reset them.
