“DirecTV compatible? Does this product work with DirecTV? I was comparing this with another product (Dynex 3-port HDMI switch) and one of the reviews for that product says the Rocketfish 4-port HDMI switch with remote failed. Not sure what that was all about; no other info was given. But another review said the Dynex was one of the few that works with a DirecTV receiver. Another review said someone shouldn't waste their money on the Rocketfish because the Dynex 3-port is compatible with DirecTV and it's less than half the price. I was initially leaning towards the Rocketfish because it supports 1080p video and 7.1 surround sound for audio. But if it doesn't work or doesn't work well with DirecTV DVR, I don't want to waste my time and money. I'll just go ahead and order the Dynex because it also supports 1080p. However, the Dynex doesn't say much about the audio support and it doesn't have a remote. So bottom line is I need to know if the Rocketfish is compatible with DirecTV DVR receivers?”

The rf-g1501 is not compatible (HDCP calls being blocked at the selector level) with directv, the rf-g1185 is. Just lived through it all.

As far as audio goes, so far I have found that I get surround sound with cable tv, but not with some other inputs, but I haven't played around with it much.
