• The Switch has 5 HDMI ports, one output to go into your TV, and 4 inputs for your devices. You can only be on one input at a time. Yes, you can plug your consoles into the Switch, but you can't play them at the same time.

• Yes. I similarly have both my PS3 and PS4 connected as inputs at the same time, and the one output HDMI goes to my TV. There is a remote control (or buttons on the device itself) to select the input that will be connected to your TV.

• Yes, you can plug up to 4 devices in and connect to 1 TV. There is a remote so you can switch from input channel to input channel.
