Make sure the speakers on your tv are not on mute, next try running your tv's optical audio output to a A/V receiver or soundbar, next return the Rocketfish to the store and tell them it is defective ang get a new one, mine works great so you might have gotten a bad one.By process of elimination, you will figure it out.Hope this helps
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No it shouldn't as long as you've hooke d the hdmi cable to the output on the selector and the other end to an hdmi port on your t.v.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Put the direct TV input into HDMI 2 put ARC output into HDMI 1 ARC then I used the optic cable everything works great now.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you can connect the devices directly to the tv, and get audio, but then connect thru the Rocketfish switch and do not get audio, it may be a HDCP(Antipiracy) conflict. I would suggest disconnecting the devices while powered down, and then starting at your source end. Start your primary source device, and allow each device to power on in order from Primary Source/Switch/Television.
