“This stops working each time I use it for only 5 minutes or so causing me to have to unplug it for hours- days, evetually it will start again but not well. It often will not suck anything up and/or spits things back out. How do I use my warranty?”

Call the geek squad toll free line. The tech support will assist o The phone. If not schedule appointment either at or or at home. Have had excellent results with geek squad.
