I got my son a meta quest 2. Got geek squad protection with it. The day the meta quest 3 came out we returned the quest 2. They let us put the $300 I paid for the quest 2 towards the cost of the quest 3 which was $500 so I paid the difference which was $200. I then added geek squad protection to it. Just a coincidence that his quest 2 remote started acting up right when the 3 came out. We could have put the $300 we paid for the quest 2 towards anything in the store. I’ve done the same with headphones, a monitor and keyboards.
