• Typically you wouldn't need this in order to return the product or exchange it as long as you're within the window allowed for returning a purchase.

• The plan is for products that have gone bad. So I don't think you can use this as a reason to exchange.

• Verify your receipt, make sure yoir in compliance with the date. I have exchanged items before always had a smooth time with customer service.
