I also have a Samsung smart tv. This blu-ray home theater system replaces your current surround sound system, with incredible high def sound. The blu-ray part has nothing to do with where you live as long as you have a good strong broadband internet/cable hooked into it. Through my cable company I have a wifi network and this blu-ray system connects to it. As long as your system is set up properly, you'll be able to use the many features as well as blu-ray, DVD, CDs and more. Hope this helps.
