Well, the Government has warranty sales by vendors under review as to when a product warranty ends then the added warranty should start, many start same time as manufacturer warranty starts. I feel you loose 1 year out of that 5 year as Geek squad tells you to call manufacturer first, I feel the sales person who sold me that they do a better job and use them from 1st year not manufacturer, but seems Geek Squad has a different version of who repairs first. That is why the government is getting involved as the complaint has reached the level that government is getting involved in rewriting the law
